I used Shadowhaven exclusively for going from 255 to 300. Everything except Fruit and Brownie Parts can be bought in a relatively small area. For each stack of attempts it would take me 12 RL minutes to run around buying the ingredients for the stack of attempts. 25 minutes if I had to stop and make the beer and baskets. 
I've had worse luck and a longer run around trying to get my Brewing and Fletching over 250...
After 275 or so I found that I was successful making 4 picnics for an average of every 1.1 clicks of the combine button. This was the only slow down, as I had to transfer 10 to 15 stacks of picnics to my bazaar bot every 20 to 30 minutes or so.
