Well the wax candles still blow err I mean are no drop. Whats up with that?

I tried my skelly illusion (lich) and even wasted some plat on barbarian illusion. Both were a no go I have almost 12 stacks of omelet supremes wasting now.

this is an item that could perhaps have been added to a vendor in TSS, since it's a "one-stop shop" tradeskiller's heaven?

Sounds like you got things worked out, but another possible suggestion might be to shroud to a rogue. Galain pointed out the Sneak tactic. Most people don't consider the shrouds aside from exploring nasty zones if they're high enough to get the stealthy rogue.
