  • Jaggedpine can bite my shiny metal....

Had a horrid run on Patty Melts recently (200 combines resulting in 7 skillups...INT only 175 with KEI..I have to work on that). Not a terrible rate, but this is still sub-200 mind you.

I'm just sick of running back and forth to Jaggepine. Even with PoK portals helping out it is still a boring run. I get my meats in Thurg (I should probably get 'em in SH though...shorter run I suppose).

What is up with cheese anyway, that between the entire planet, the planes, and the friggin' moon only two folks have been able to noodle out how to acquire or make it? We can make smoked shark. Cookies. Cakes. Various fish dinners. We can make salads, steaks, pasta and ten pound pies. We regularly make kabobs, filets, barbecues, and sammiches out of our neighbors and fellow man. The best of us can even put together a party platter for Bristlebane. But for some odd reason the secret of CHEESE is beyond our scope of skill or intelligence to create. Oh, MATURE cheese is doable. But plain old run-of-the-mill still in puberty cheese, is apparently too tough to handle.

Ah well. Once again, here's hoping that one of those vendors gets sick of the forest and decides to move to sunny downtown Freeport.

    HAHAHAHA That's classic!

And I wholeheartedly agree but best we can do is /feedback and hope for the best. I personally still wonder why there is no meat or grog vendor in PoK. /shrug

*jumps up and down* I know why!!! Because all these merchants across the world/moon/planes have been importing milk from...*drumroll please* Jaggedpines! And the long "drive" from JPF to..well...anywhere..matures the MILK! Then all we can make from it is mature cheese. So in order to make FRESH cheese ya gotta do it right there in JPF with fresh milk. Only those folks won't let anyone see WHERE they are getting the milk from. And they use it all themselves to become the only source of fresh cheese (really...considering what's in that place I do NOT wanna know where that milk came from *shudder*) Those greedy bastiges LMAO

      Yeah...yeah...that's it =)

And my guild thinks I'm insane for loading up on cheese just to sell at the bazaar at a *ahem* slight profit..

Um...why not just park an alt in JPF and make use of the shared bank space? That's what I do.

I have a 20-something druid that can port directly into Surefall. Then I just run him into JPF and stock up on Cheese and put it in the shared spaces. Usually I leave him there, but if I want to take him elsewhere I can always port right back to Surefall.

It takes the greatest culinary geniuses of Norrath (200 to 250+ bakers) to take 7 items and put them in a picnic basket and you wonder why we can't make regular cheese?

                  Back on subject,

I think the reasoning is so that high level baking can't be easy for anyone anywhere, and since the patty melts are the easiest way to get very high up, then it has to be difficult to get at least one ingredient.

Are you kidding - it takes the skills of someone who's nearly a grand master baker just to bang out a simple patty melt - hotdogs haven't been discovered yet since they are most likely a 400 trivial combine - the odds of someone figuring out the secret to normal cheese is zero to nill - that's probobly a 600 trivial combine atleast.

You ever notice that there are no female gnolls? Ever wonder why all the male gnolls want to take over jagged pine?

Makes me wonder why there are so many....

Kinda hard to support a large population with only males, esp. if they're constantly being killed off. Its the same in Blackburrow.
