Not gonna get into the whole sordid affair but will start at the end. My husband is a dink. He lost his wallet AGAIN. So I call in and have the atm cards "hot statused" the woman I spoke with was very knowledgeable and helpful. Got everything taken care of. Including letting me know that we had another ATM card "hot statused" and when I explained that card was lost (thus the status) and my matching card had been destroyed over a year ago she cheerfully "took care of it" in her computer. Then told me to just go online and order 2 new cards and all would be well.
So I did, there's a portion in my online account to "order new card" gotta fill in type/amount of cards along with picking a pin number. Filled it out, sent it in. Get an email the next day saying they can't send me a new card without the card number as I have more than one atm account open. I reply that this was supposedly taken care of by the person I spoke with, who incidentally is the one that TOLD me to send in the new card order. I included the card number and thanked them for their assistance. I also included the text from their email in my reply.
Late last night I get an email (with a different reference number) saying they can't send me a card without the type/amount of cards along with picking a pin number...followed by instructions on how to fill out the "order new card" form. /boggle. I reply that they HAD that information on file which is why they are having any contact with me in the first place. I included a copy of the email they sent me (needing the card number) as proof that they already had my order and this information. AND told her if she would read the email SHE responded to she would note the card number (plus the exact text I included in THIS email) there. But to speed the process I would also include the account number. Then went on to say I would not fill out yet another form until she could verify that I would not end up with 4 cards and 2 $20 charges from doing so.
What a headache! So when I got a message today saying I had new bankmail needless to say I was expecting yet another reference number followed by the complaint that I needed to include my bloodtype and mother's grandmother's maiden name since I do infact have more than 1 mother's grandmother... in order to process my request. However, much to my delight, I got this:
Please include the following line in any e-mail correspondence

Now if only the mechanic will decide not to charge me for the broken AC in my car... HA!
