I wish the die rolls could get filtered out. No matter where i set up in bazaar, I always see the casino rolling spam. Mutiple casinos seem to be set up most the time. I vote we disable die rolls in bazaar!

Make a new chat window, set the filter on it to "Other." It will pick up all the "/random," "Tradermule_01 Saved," etc...

It will also pick up those helpful GM warnings, "Chardok coming down in 20 seconds. Please make your way to a safe area and camp. ETA for Chardok coming back is unknown."

Minimize that window, and you won't have to see any of those messages...

Back in the day, the zone line between Qeynos Hills* and West Karana* worked in a rather unfortunate way. Namely, when you zoned from QH into WK, if somebody else had zoned but neglected to move, you'd bounce off of them when you appeared and rezone back into QH.

To make matters worse - at this time, I was a guide, and we could easily fix this problem by moving the offending character over just a little bit. No big deal for any involved. But the zone-in point for guides was on the opposite end of WK, and guide SOW was (and maybe still is) significantly slower than a well equipped bard with Selo's up. In other words, it took forever to get to the other end of the zone where you could tell which character was in the way. You couldn't zone in from QH, because you'd get bounced back, and in those days people actually went to WK, so you couldn't just go to ever single character in the zone one at a time.

All said, though, this problem was infrequent, unlike the Bazaar crowding issues, which are constant - and yes, I've been bounced back into Nexus after zoning into Bazaar on top of several people who were just standing there after zoning. I suspect half of them couldn't move, because of the other half who wouldn't move.

But I wouldn't complain about any of it if they managed to get rid of all the ****able casinos

(* Also note that QH and WK were given the oh-so-easy-to-remember names of "qeytoqrg" and "qey2hh1", which as guides we had to type in in order to zone there )

          Coordinate errors

One thing that I've noticed with two accounts: the toons on my wife's computer always appear to others in a slightly different location on her computer than they do to everyone else. In other words, if I position a trader exactly on the corner of a stall on her account, when I go to my computer, I see that trader standing about 5 feet off to the right, apparently standing outside the stall and in the aisle. I don't know why this happens, but its pretty consistent.

It also means that if the trader very carefully positions herself between two existing people, it will appear to others as if she's deliberately stood on the one to her right.

            Bazaar zone in

A couple days ago, an Ogre, High level, with a title, and a custom helm, zoned into the bazaar, and WOULD NOT move. People asked, begged, pleades, screamed...

He claimed he didn't HAVE to move. Then went AFK. When I zoned in (my druid), there was a solid wall of people. Luckily, Wolf form got me through.

I levved the guy, and started levving everyone behind him. It took me 5 minutes, but I got the roadblock cleared. Luckily, since he was levved, when people were zoning in, they bumped him forward, away from the zone.

I also had help from another druid who was inviting people into her group, and succoring them across the zone.

Eventually, all was well, but Wow, what a jerk.

I've never seen it quite that bad, but I do know that if I were a GM, and I caught someone doing that, at the very least they'd get a warning (and instantly be knocked off-line, or possibly teleported into the middle of the Freeport arena along with a serverwide announcement about the 'event' at said arena- okay, maybe not teleported to the arena...).

I set my trader up last night and then went to bed. I woke up this morning to find I had sold next to nothing of my baked goodies. That's rather unusual for me, so I opened my window for my tells. Tell window had a list of people all telling me they were unable to target me to buy. I switch my view around and find a barbarian is right on top of my poor little trader. /rude people.

Just a couple more bits of information.

I was trying to buy something from a friend, but it turned out he was stuck way up at the top of a wall. I asked him about it, and he said that he didn't position himself anywhere strange. (He's got luclin graphics and I have old graphics.)

If you're worried about trolls sitting on you, try the half spaces stalls with the boxes and stuff. Trolls and Ogres can't fit between the thin poles.

I usually run around looking at the ground. I left click to target, then right click (same spot) to open near the legs, which don't move around. I just tried to do that thing about targetting and opening with 'u', but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Well, on my server, this is what folks seem to do to at least one undercutter in the bazaar. Pure evil, and I hope they get suspended for this. I seem to remember some patch that was supposed to stop this from happening.

Warning lots of pictures and the N-word:

That's gotta be an exploit, and if VI hears about it, there will definitely be some changes. Shutting down the Bazaar arena will almost certainly be one of them.
Also, I didn't read the thread, but I'm still not clear on one thing. Why is he so unpopular? People mention undercutting, but I would hazard a guess that there's something else going on in order to cause people to dislike him so much. There are lots of people who undercut in the Bazaar on all zones, and you don't usually get that level of vehemence toward them.

From what I read in the Luclin thread where they bumped the AFK trader to the arena and killed him, he was disliked for undercutting everyone all the time(never pricematching), spamming the zone, and even spamming tells to people hawking his wares(sounds like the proverbial pushy salesman to me)

The druid used MGB SoE to lev the guy so her Ogre friend could bump him to the arena, and did get a warning from the GM for doing it.

                          TL

Ok, this was a new one for me. I left my trader in the bazaar whil I was at work, and when I returned home, there was a confirmation box on my screen saying that someone was trying to TL me to my bind point. I did not know the name, and certainly didn't want a TL, so I rejected it, but it was kind of odd.

Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Does this interfere with trader mode?

I've had that happen as well. I assumed that they wanted to play a joke, considering that my trader typically is carrying about 600 stone in weight. If I had mistakenly hit yes, there I would be at my bind point, completely unable to move.

AE Xlocate to bind. Had it happen to me, fortunately I clicked no...with my trader's encumberance, I would have been stuck mere feet from the Thurg banker for a very long time...

Had that happen right after a VSR take down. There was another group waiting in the wings, and right after we took down VSR, we all got a translocate pop up box.
They said it was for their group, and I'm inclined to believe them as almost all of the other group left at this point, but its the 'almost' that makes me wonder.
