Second trophy fail

This trophy is no picnic...first the artesian seal fails in the kiln at a 199 pottery skill after a week farming cash for the components. Now a week after that the combine fails in the brew barrel. I could have almost paid for a horse with the plat involved :-(

Yep, 6 ties till I got the trophy in jewelery at 247.

Yes it is funny how it all works, I got my baking trophy on the first try
I have tried for my brewing trophy 3 times now, no luck yet :?

I certainly feel for you. It took me about a month to save up for my brewing trophy. Thank the gods I made it on my first attempt, 248 plus my geerlok of course, or it would have been another month or so before I could have tried again.

You all have my sympathy. I can't imagine when I'll have the courage to even try a trophy.

I did the JC trophy on the first attempt, but there were prayers flying up to all appropriate deities during the process.

I did the final combine in Lesser Fay, with no one else in the zone. I wanted someplace to scream if it failed.

I will never do a trophy combine in the Bazaar or Shadowhaven. Call me superstitious, but I've seen too many failures and lousy skillup rates in those two zones.

I had the same thing happen with my brewing trophy;
seal failed in the kiln first time.
final combine failed in the barrel second time.
on the third attempt I asked the enchanter that was doing all the JC combines and made the corking devices for me to stay grouped with me.
It worked.
(Gnomes are good luck D )

Still saving up for that third shot at it. Kaching (my brewer druid that is trying the trophy) is 250 and with geerlok. Sorry to hear that some of you failed even more :-(

Brewing Trophy failure I feel your pain

:evil: I have Failed 4 times at 250 Skill and a geerlock , this is very frustrating, add on the insane superstition , abberant rituals pre clicking , alcohol abuse , tremors and sleep deprivation afterwards reviewing the failure in my head while trying to sleep ( Don't even TRY to deny that you don't think about it afterwards ) , this has been a hate / hate relationship.
I saved up 10 K the last time for 2 tries , CONFIDENT that I would be rewarded and Satan was at the RNG this day , oh yes he was. But it will be mine, one day , it will be mine

Finally got another seal ready so soon as I get a corker and the guts to try then I'll combine. Sorry about those 4 fails on yours :-(
I've been building up dex, it seems to help on the built in fail rate of combines like heady kiola etc. You would think at 250 that vegtable oil or Kiola wouldn't fail anyway lol....anyway building a buffer so if it fails next time I won't be wiped out like last time. Hopefully soon tho. Gnomes and Chanters are making a killing on me from collapsable kits, mana and geerloks. I was holding out for a 500 plat corker like I got last time.

Yeah 3 trophies down so far. More to go. Not looking forward to making my brewing one since it costs around 2k to buy a new corking device on brell. Top that off with 5800pp seals since I can't seem to get any jacinth's to make my own, and it adds up quick.

Failed first trophy in the pottery wheen at 191 pottery + geerlok.
Success on 2nd to make my GM tailoring needle.

Failed 3rd in the oven.
Success on 4th to get my GM Spoon.

Gnomes ARE good luck! I had a gnome enchanter guildie who's also a GM potter help me with subcombines. He was grouped with me when I combined my spoon on the first try. Only got the nerve up to try when I hit 250 though.

After that, he was inspired to go for his pottery trophy and got it on his first try too.
