    And.

    I am perfectly willing to listen to you.

    I could hope I could have a reasoned discussion about it. But ::Shrug::

    Unfortunately, I cannot know everything about the game. I did not actually happen to know at the time I did these that those zones were keyed.

    I don't actually want anything to require keyed zones or uber rare stuff. So I am willing to listen.

    But. I am *not* against needing to get a group together to get some parts (I hear from reliable sources the stone bean are not that uncommon a drop from MISSIONS...)

    For example. In the tailoring, I used to have one of the bags made from drop in Cazic Thule. It turned out to be drops you are lucky to see once a week. I was happy to change that recipe to something more reasonable.

    I had one of the baking recipes that needed parts from Dragons in DoN, that were rare to the point of nearly not existing, AND in a keyed zone... so I changed it to hobgoblin sup prise. Certainly not an easy item to get, but entirely feasible with a group (or for way high geared folks...)

    I am willing to listen. I don't know everything, and freely admit it.

    Please communicate with me in a reasoned manner, and I will be happy to consider it.

    The feedback I got from Beta was a big help. Because of beta I changed many unreasonable things. But there were only so many people there, AND they had the easy way of getting things, so may not have always remembered, or even knew how difficult some things are to get.

      "But. I am *not* against needing to get a group together to get some parts (I hear from reliable sources the stone bean are not that uncommon a drop from MISSIONS...)"

      Well, what missions? According the eqtraders and allakhazam they drop from static mobs in bloodfields, harbingers, and noble's causeway. If they are that common dropping from someplace entirely different (e.g. missions of some sort), well it doesn't exactly help anyone actually complete the trophy if 99% of the player base doesn't know where they come from and the other 1% won't tell anyone =P

      The only thing I've heard was the thread from the day before yesterday in the brewers forum where someone said they *thought* they dropped from the stone men in don missions. I've killed those mobs plenty of times in nest missions, and never seen then drop, so if they drop there, they aren't common.

      So if anyone can give clear information on where they are found, I'll be perfectly happy to go camp them with a group (its not hard to get people to go due origins of the cursed tier 5 don mission, since its good exp and 68 crystals).

        At a GUESS, and it is just a guess, I'd say Ngreth is referring to Omens expeditions -- Dranik Hollows, Dranik Sewers, and other such instanced zones. However, I've not verified this myself, and I can't recall ever seeing one drop myself. Assuming they really are from Omens, though, then that's the closest thing I can think of to a mission in Omens zones.

            This may be PSR, but people, the Rules still apply.

            ~~~
            Ngreth, whoever your "reliable source" is, maybe he needs to elaborate and tell you which zones/missions?
            There's a lot of misinformation right now, some folks think they drop in DoN missions off the Statue models, others say they drop in Nobles' Causway....now there's speculation they drop in the OoW expeditions in Dranik's Scar.... I think in the interests of player sanity a slight spoiler - confirmation of where we should be hunting - might help.
                Oh...and if it wasn't a joke, you might want us to "bear" with you, instead of "bare" with you...lest you see more than you want.
                    offerring to help fellow tradeskillers is never a bad thing..
                    it was aimed at the ..snippy-ness...although maybe I meant that for a different thread...the traffic at EQTC has increased a LOT with the expansion, hehe
                    ...time to get out the clue-howitzer again!
                        Haha. Now that would have been a hoot. If I'd read the quest window and saw "1 Tae Ew Hide Sack" staring me in the face, I would have died of fright in an instant, revived from the shock, and then died again
                        I think enough flawless Tae Ew hides have passed through my hands during my time in EQ to make at most three sacks.
                          I just completed 4 of 8 trophies and here is my feedback.
                          1) Poison = Perfect combination of exotic zones and drops, would not change anything except having the option to turn in either poison trophy, not just the first one. <complete>
                          2) Baking = Not as challenging as other trophies but certainly not light on subcombines. <90% comlete>
                          3) Brewing = There's a hitch with the almonds in Shar Vahl, albeit a small one. The vendor, Chialle, that sells this item spends most of her time visiting the bank instead of selling her wares. I made the mistake of hailing her and just added that much more time I had to stand there waiting for her to reset. A suggestion is to add almonds to another vendor in the zone and/or allow us to buy from Chialle when she's on the move. <95% complete with a bidding war brewing for stone beans on my server>
                          3) Fletching = Tripped myself up with closely worded names like dragorn wing bones and drake wing bones but otherwise a good test of skill. <complete>
                          4) Smithing = Tripped up again with names like short blade hilt mold and small blade hilt mode but my biggest problem was just trying to find a gashed magnetized breastplate for sale. <complete>
                          5) Pottery = finding available casters to summon items was actually harder than clicking the combine buttons. <90% complete>
                          6) Jewelry = challenging drops and combines, would not change anything here either. <complete>
                          7) Tailoring = Concussive bola recipe broken but otherwise a good test of skill. <95% complete>
                          Overall I am very pleased with these quests. Thanks, Ngreth.
                            The beginner brewer test requires Fizzle Pop but the aerated mineral water doesn't exist in game. Fizzlepop can be made but it has a trivial of 142. Either the mineral water needs to be added in game or the test changed. If the test is changed will I have to redo the whole test or will it be retro actively changed?
                              If I change a task element, it will not affect other unchanged elements.
                              If you have already done that element... it will stay "complete" even if it changed.
                              One possible negative effect will be is if someone completes a combine step on one that is changed, and not the turn-in step for that one I change... then they may have to make the new item to turn in. (so turn-in all of your combines!)
