Tower bosses are a 4-8 hour respawn.

the three people tha are needed to get a GDot4W , at a base gear level to trio the staff would be for the most part laughed out of Higher god zones, where the shimmering stuff appears to drop.

Tribute masters do not take no drop.

If you read my posts you would see that I am not calling for the best stuff to be easy,Just something that decouples it from a realiance on High end raiders to even be allowed.

Right now good trade skills items will never be makable by a vast majority of the people that want to do trades, just by the people that did trades for aide grimmel.

Raiders will, and unappologeticly, should have an advantage in farming/getting components. If I, in time/elemental gear can't kill stuff better then Scales Hiss, level 64 SK, in bazaar bought gear then there is something very wrong.

But should I have a lock? no.
As it is now, you want plat you go to earth and hang around vine with your group and make 15k on every vine that drops, even other elemental flaged peope buy them at that price.

      Wow...

Okay first off thanks Maddoc for dropping by and giving us a heads up as usual

One more thing. Could you tell us if the ones all ready made will be nerfed also as some people have payed some large plat all ready for some of these.

      Thanks in advance.

And for some stating these are too high powered because drops are easier to get than shimmering..well lets see just have one thing to say. Get to 250 and a trophy in both jewelcraft and smithing and then say that.

      Hehe enough said,

Eh, I'm a 250 smith and jeweler, what's the big deal with that?

The BSTs have actually parsed it out and the multiplier depends on your ATK rating. I'm not sure I'd assign what it "should" be for a level 65 since that still spans a considerable range.

          You mean lowest not highest.

And according to lucy 28 delay is 35 damage bonus (1.25 bonus:dly), where 30 is 36 DB (1.2 bonus:dly). I'm curious where you got 30 as the sweet spot from.

I'm a bit undecided on the WB vs. WMBS arguements that you throw out here. It's not clear to me that DPS from ripostes is significant enough to make up the difference in average DPS, and the 2 most common SK spells are .5 and 1.5 cast times. They're certainly close though, and I don't see how to justify paying 5-10 times more for a windblade.

Either way, I'm not impressed with the smithed weapons in gates. Although a 34/28 spear would be a nice upgrade.

Using Windblade, large log (almost 5 million damage taken):

            Total hits 17447 melee hits
            Total ripostes 3687 ripostes

~21.1% of hits (decent enough indicator of damage taken since my parser doesn't show riposte damage, only number of hits) by NPCs were ripostes.

Moving from a 44 delay weapon to a 28 delay weapon is about 60% more swings, i.e., 60 percent or so more ripostes. 20 percent of damage done by ripostes, add 60% to that, you end up taking 12 percent more dps overall.

12 percent dps is a lot. That is a wide range of mobs, and higher level mobs in more difficult areas tend to riposte more than weak mobs.
