The real question is, what exactly was your problem with the Shaman?
maybe I misunderstood at the start... and I really don't want to go back and look at this late hour... but my problem with the shaman was not that she wanted to roll, or even expected to roll.... it was that she looted it....she just... looted it.

When it comes to quests, and groups that form to pharm quest items, it's usually made clear that all will roll, and we stay til all have, if possible. That theory is thrown out when we go for one specific person to get an item. If someone else wants it as well, we would stay for another drop, or arrange to come back again.

The gate piece is an awesome piece no matter how you look at it. Stats and effect, but it's a Quest, so yes, anyone can do it.

The difference is... they keep those melee buffed and alive. Your clerics? Guess what they get from those parchments? Yep, even their heal spells are drops. How many level 65 Shaman and Clerics do you want to play with that maybe if they are lucky have 2 spells in the 61 - 65 range because they are having to roll againts greedy melee? This is what you would prefer? Keep showing us how greedy you are.
What a weak arguement. You call me greedy when I've already clearly stated the groups I've been in have had casters only rolling on the parchements. Sounds like you're trying to divert attention from how valueless your point is.

Now who keeps the Clerics from getting beat down? Who keeps the Shaman from getting beat down? The tanks, that's who. They need us as much as we need them. And guess what, if the tanks are tanking in crap gear, you can expect a lot more deaths all around. Its a symbiotic relationship, not a parasitic one. And if you can't understand that, you're playing the wrong game.

Fair is fair. If your time and effort is valuable, so is mine. Casters have more than once rolled on items that would have improved me that would only be plat bait for them. If you want to call melee greedy for wanting to roll on parchements then I would call any casters who rolled on a melee items over a melee greedy as well. Where are your condemning words for them? Or is it only melee who can be greedy because of course we all know all casters are selfless giving individuals, right?

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. Ultimately I don't know what you have in your spell book. I don't know how honest or dishonest you may be. I can't even look into your eyes and make an evaluation. If I haven't played with you before, your word isn't worth jack to me, just as my word doesn't mean jack to you. The only logical and reasonable thing is for everyone to /random on anything they want, because believe it or not I don't owe you anything more as a stranger than you owe me.

So please, keep up with the greedy crap. You make yourself looks so good.

        Qutie, the original poster said:
When asked about why she was trying to do the quest ahead of the melee
As if the melee are more deserving of the item.

Glatius2, so hostile eh? Did I hit a nerve with the greedy comment? Sounds like I did. So what is it?
I've already clearly stated the groups I've been in have had casters only rolling
        or is it
        majority of PoP groups
Once again, maybe you should rethink who you group with. Also your level might come into play. They majority of the groups I have been in 2 out of the 3 casters are not rolling on the 61/62 parchments anymore. Kind of blows your theory out of the water as they consider them greed rolls already. I have been a little behind on getting my parchments because I was soloing and working on AA's rather than leveling /shrug

You have missed my point entirely btw. You are right, it is a mutual relationship which brings me right back to my original post.
A caster such as the Shaman who was expecting to roll had every right to get it at the same time as you. Your need is no greater than theirs.
So you still can't see the difference between an item that is an upgrade to "X" player regardless of wether or not they also get parchments and a non casting melee looting parchments? /boggle What do you do with Rangers, Paladin, SK's and Beastlords? Boy I bet they really get your panties in a bunch! They get both! OMG!

          Locking this one.

Too heated, and people are forgetting the personal attacks rule.
