              You'll get no sympathy when:
you're a druid/wizard complaining about how you can never get groups when you quad all the time.

I hate when people quad. Specially in CS.

Yes, because CLEARLY , in our mid 50's, quadding is where it's at.

                  *rolleyes*

You will get NO sympathy from this druid when you refuse him a group, and tell him you wish you could solo.

You will get no sympathy from a druid when you tell him you'd gladly give up your group desireability to solo as well as he does.

And you will get BEYOND zero sympathy from this druid when you try to explain that the reason he can't get groups is because he should be soloing.

If you hadn't noticed, Sony seems to be steamrolling us all into "Please group, you must group, the game is all about grouping, we've always wanted you to group". Telling druids to go solo something when they actually ask for a group just encourages them to be a jerk to the next group who wants them to stop kiting/quadding/whatever so the group can have the camp.

Iroke has had a piece of her epic eaten by the Dark Elf Corruptor in East Karana. The GMs have not yet returned it. I went with another druid in my guild, and a wizard friend. I turned in the piece to the four druids on the south end of EK, and the DEC, his pet, and the 3 DERs spawned right where they should. My friends snared, rooted, and dotted and began to nuke the 5 things as I was running North to meet them. The DEC was on my track. And then suddenly... he poofed.

We were mightily confused. I petitioned. Three days and five petitions later when I finally got a GM, he told me that the DEC has to be melee-engaged. "To keep a druid from soloing his or her entire epic."

We solo EVERYthing. That's all I have ever been told since level 34. "You have snare, you have dots, you have AE nuke. Go to BBM. Go to GD. Go here, go there, and find your own xp."

Yet I am not to solo my entire epic. Never mind I can get the nine tainted/corrupted solo, never mind most of what it is is just huge amounts of running around to zones in the far reaches of Norrath to turn stuff in and run away fast (Kith Forest turn-in comes to mind). Never mind that I actually was not soloing in EK that day, I had 2 friends. But one of them wasn't a MELEE friend. So now I'm 's-o-l'.

If I have to solo, tell me that. If I have to group, tell me that. If I can do both, tell me that, but don't punish me for choosing one option, or the other, or both. Make up your mind, and make sense while you're doing so. And then don't renig on what you've said.

But then again, dealing with these simian morons that try (and fail) to give me something that passes for internet access has convinced me that no, sense will not be made, renigging will never not happen, and the human race is salvage-less.

In other words, Noishpa, just get used to it. It sucks, but since we don't have and apparently never will have any leverage, we don't have any other choice.

                        solo faydedar?

i think the wizard epic is mostly soloable. the broken golem in fear is the only mob that hasn't been soloed i think. course do you still want the epic at lv. 65 with 400aa?

you'll get no sympathy complaining about how hard your epic is to a wizard that had to loot cazic thules skin to get his.

(so glad that isn't the case anymore)

you'll get no sympathy when it takes 4 phinny kills to get the peice for your epic when another is on there 76th. (heard of that one. might be higher for someone else.)

Druid-fay has been solod by mages, and I think I heard of a melee doing it as well (but not so sure on that one). Doesn't seem out of reach of a solo druid (especially with some of the other fun druid solo tales of late, such as Trakanon).

A Fay Solo would require a pet/tank of some kind.

                              Hmmm . . .

You will get no sympathy from the guildmates you yelled at for disrupting an XP group/raid because they happen to be parents and, as a result, put their children first before a game.

Believe it or not, something like this actually happened . . . someone came online asking her guildmates if they knew of anything that can lower a high fever that her daughter was experiencing. One of her guildies (who happened to be an officer, no less) turned around and yelled at her in open guildchat for disrupting something (not a raid, I think). I guess it's not a surprise that she and a few other people left that guild afterwards. Speaking of which . . .

You will get absolutely, positively no sympathy from me if you can't get your real-life priorities straight! Everquest is a game, not a second (or even first) job, and should not be treated as such.

This second one's probably lost on a lot of people, sadly enough.

OMG- a guildy had something similar to this happen to him/her.
a guildie was grouped with a few people including this Paladin (i believe the class. apparently this player was not playing thier class right so was booted out of the group. after a bit of begging the pally got back in but was clearly instructed on how to play thier class with this group. Pallys response.. "whatever". he was immediatly booted from the group.
15 minutes later this persons Mother got on complaining about how her 8 year old son was being treated... um???? 8 years old??? Isnt this game at least rated T for Teen if not Adult?
You will get no simpathy for letting such a minor child play this game.
I can picture this women in court swearing to the judge that her little boy would never even think of breaking such a law, and if he did its someone elses fault.
