    Don't expect sympathy when:

complaining to a bard about how a patch managed to bug your class.

complaining your stacks of supplies take up too much space - to a tinkering gnome!

complaining the xp is bad - as the tank gets his 8th rez for the evening versus your 0.

complaining the tank should be replaced - after having to ask him to log on his chanter and cleric to hydra just so you could do the camp to begin with.

you ask for free high price/rare combines because trades are 'too boring' after 10 minutes of camping the common items for that item you wanted made.

complaining about the solo charm xp nerf to a warrior who couldn't solo for xp for 10 levels.

I can't stop.....must control.....must not berate casters with their petty worries...buncha whiny.....don't know how good they got it...must hold back EQ fustration....jus' a little longer.

"They told me I was main tank. So I asked why the highest level cleric in the raid wasn't in my group. The reply was "The casters will prob get aggro and need to be watched closely." Then I went back and sat in Vox's main chamber with a steak around my neck."

as a wizard this confuses me? i summon a pointy dagger. it doesn't even flame. you can charm. do you not get a summoned pet? i missed something here.

ever notice the tanks that afk for ten minutes and the mob has been pushe away? ever wonder what would happen if a cleric in the ch chain did that for a bit just to screw with him?

If you ignore charm, the little summoned druid pet (a lvl 23 bear if I remember right) is a pretty weak little creature, although it is a full fledged pet. I'm guessing its DPS is probably a good bit lower than the summoned one-shot wizzie sword or cleric hammer.

              {sorry about continuing with the derail}

When any pet class tells you that "clerics get pets" as a point-blank statement.

Sure and I've been playing for 2 years now (as of 2-28) on my cleric and I don't have a pet. Counting something you don't get until level fifty-six!!! as the same as an ability you get at level 9 or 1 is like saying "any man can get a date at 80 with a 25 year old as easy as a 30 year old guy can, just look at Hugh Hefner."

I wouldn't have a bit of problem with "Some clerics have pets," or with "Clerics get a pet, but it's late in the game." It's certainly not something you would base your playing strategy on any earlier, really. "Oh, no use learning to cast those DD spells at 14, after all you will be getting a pet!"

It kind of makes me wonder how many people play their characters out to the max level their expansions allow, how many are currently actively leveling characters, and how many clerics are spinning woefully at the select screen in 2 pieces of newbie armor and a Club*.

Of course Clerics get pets! It's just that they are very much like 'chanter pets. Won't follow any commands at all and are always getting agro before you are ready.

There's something hilariously tragic about that image.

Sorry for the hijacking. As for the Cleric hammer pets, it has total of 100 hitpoints. That's usually one hit from most mobs above 50. It does decent damage but very slow. You can't command the pet either. It goes right after the mob I cast at and when the mob dies, it dies. Only exception is when I have multiple aggros and it goes to the next aggroed mob and promptly lasts 1 sec before getting killed. It's one time deal so no use buffing the pet with hp buff or haste.

One thing it is useful for is for some farming. I can increase the farming rate at very lowbie zones, like lesser shades, by casting it on one mob then hitting on another mob. That works well.

                            No sympathy when:

You tell a druid that you hate the lag in PoK when you are going from the Ak'Anon book to the Rivervale book.

                              *shrug*

                              Yes, Clerics get pets.
                              Just like Clerics get Complete-Heal.
                              And Imbues.
                              And Druids get Ports.

Just because a class don't have something at level 1,5 , or 20, doesn't mean that the Class doesn't have the ability.

So yes, Nhinx, clerics do get pets. Just like they get 96% rezzes, and temperance. There's just a tremendous amount of work involved.

yeah but the wizard and cleric pets don't last as long as a druid pet. the level 23 bear is actually better so druids can't complain about their lousy pet to clerics and wizards.

(actually many at graffe post call of Xuzl as their most "fun" aa purchase. no big power increase but very cute. )
