    /rant on
Curse the dudes selling trade skills items for ridiculous prices in the bazaar, and the lemmings following them !

On Tunare, I used to buy nilitim grimoire pages 115 from 5 to 25 pp, I've made a bunch of robes with that to get my tailoring skill up.
Now it become impossible to find the pages at a reasonnable price, some trolls increased the price dramatically. Last week it ranged from 50 to 100pp, and now it range from 500 to 1000pp (yes, you read right, 1Kpp !!!!)

To me the prices are definetly not buyers controled, but sellers controlled followed by an army of ignorants.

Yes i must agree Trolls/resellers/platbuyers and some tradeskillers are ripping people off.
I see it alot on the stromm server (even when the prices in stromm are alot higher then other servers already!) like for example misty thicket picknicks are usely 10 or 12 pp but recently they have been going for 15 -25pp!
and I myself will be making misty thicket picknicks (I have been plannig to for awile now) so it kinda pist me off to see people riping others off with the Goods i will be selling.

well happy ranting God bless and i hope you find a Good price for those

MTPs: 20-50p. And they sell by the buckets at those prices.
Halas 10: 10p. And they fly out of my inventory.

Vendormine. And be patient. And use the glorious shared bank to make an alt to hold stuff. Patience is the reason that I have 10 stacks of leather padding just waiting for me to get my smithing skill that high.

Prices suck now, but they'll change. And then they'll change back. And then they'll change around again. Very little in EQ is static.

And look at the people who sell things for such rediculous prices. How many do they have? Watch them over time. Do they move their product?

      There is always another option.

Yeah, they very idea that people would sell things for as much profit as they possibly can!!!

        Why, It's UNAMERICAN.

        It's downright communist!

There should be some kind of law, detailling what everyone should sell, regulating prices, and making everything equal and fair for everybody.

        Oh, wait...

Wow, I just realized that Mistys are selling on my server from 10-40pp each now...

Maybe I should spend mor etime making them and putting them up at 15pp each, much better than the 2-4PP they were a few months ago..

Hey, its an economy. If prices go up, why shouldn't we take advantage of it?

(Of course, if a friend or guildmate of yours needs them or TS supplies, that is when you go easy on the pricing. People pay the high prices for TS supplies because they have some uber 65 cha who can make platinum like my freezer makes ice, and shelling out 150-400PP for a stack of silk swatches is nothing for them).

Seems that on KB that for the longest time, everyone was TSing, now that everyone (except me?) has hit 1750 / 2000 / 2250 no one is selling the products. Good, more plat for me!

Funny.. I remember a thread a while back complaining prices for MTP etc were dropping too low

Anyway, there are threads on other forums that are talking about people selling PP and L65 characters etc for real cash, and probably using exploits.

Having tons of extra plat could result in prices going up I guess since money means nothing..

We keep the Dead Horse in a cage? I thought we just threw a tarp over it or something. As far as the pricing thing goes, I think the pricing on the cultural robes (LoY) has gone haywire due to something involving the new Oracle robe quest...seems like across the board Words have gone way up in price.

Personally, If I get a tradeskill item that I think I may use someday and I'm not strapped for cash... I'll put it up at double the going price. I figure if it dosen't sell, I'll use it later. If it does sell, i'll buy 2 later

Most of the time... it sells.

If I find something on a vendor I might wanna use later I put it in my traderbags for a ridiculous price (not just 2 times the value). Seeing that some stuff still gets sold that way I can only smile, make a little dance of joy and support my tailoring skilling habbit

Um, as opposed to the pricing cartel you were wishing everyone would belong to in order to artificially keep prices high in that other thread in PS? What's the difference in principle?

In the other thread, I was saying, to a seller, that if people worked together, they could all make more of a profit instead of ripping out the legs from under each other, and having everybody lose.

Here, I am informing a buyer that nobody is under any obligation to give him a price that he feels is fair.

I was wondering if anyone would notice these two opinions. While they may seem, on the surface, a bit contradictory, they're both arguing the bazaar from a merchant's point of view. They're both a counter-argument to the "I feel that TraderA is making too much profit from ItemB".

Whether the buyer is complaining about it, or someone feels that they have the moral obligation to sell lower to "stop people from making too much profit", it's all the same argument.
