After at least nine or ten months of scanning the Bazaar on a daily basis I finally find not just one, but two affordable metallic substances in the Bazaar! OMG! Gotta go to work, but I nab em and stow them safely in the bank.

While I'm at work I consult my Magelo (hastily updated this morning) to make sure I have what I need. Study the stats on the different pieces of inferno chain available and compare to what I have, and decide to try gauntlets. No stats are out on them, so I might even make the first set ever!

When I get home I rush to the bank and grab my hoard of materials and start doing subcombines. Wonderful guildmember logs her enchanted on to make the purified mana. Marvelous friendly fellow tradesperson whose name I found on the server boards does the brewing on the tempers and jewelcraft on the emblem since I don't trust my own 200 skill with this.

One silly failure enchanting the ore with the mana, but no big whup, guildie is still on her chanter and whips up another, and the ore is cheap in the Bazaar.

Buy a pattern and run to the forge that's giving me the best vibes.

Put everything in...consult recipe to double check ingredients. Triple check ingredients. Tell guildies and friends to think happy, successful smithing thoughts...

    ...click COMBINE...

    Failed.

But I get the emblem back, the one piece that doesn't require the ingredient that's held me up all this time. BAH!

Ahh, the life of a tradeskiller....

    I need a hug...

I have been scanning the bazaar for the elemental bow components. They are finally trickling to market on my server, and the bazaar is probably the only way I will see those ingredients, ever.

However, there is a part of me that hopes that I won't find the stuff I need yet...because then I would have to try it. As fantastic as succeeding would be, I would be heartbroken if I failed.

Well, I would be broke, certainly.

I'm with you Verdandi. I finally got my first 2 orders from my guildmates. I was silly enough to tell them I could make solstice robes and haversacks. After cutting my bank account in half, I had no successes to show for it. Grrr....

Ugh noooo. *hugs and more hugs* I hate that feeling when you are so excited and you can't wait until you get home to do a combine and blamO, failed what you have been working on for so long to get the components.

                  Sorry to hear that, Dandi...

                  *hugs the Dandibear*

May want to try a gnome sacrifice first next time, those seem to help.

ARADYSS!!! *pounces on her sis and covers her in wet, sloppy bear kisses!*

Thanks guys Flowers from Kelethin, wow! They found me in the stable in the Bazaar, impressive

You're right, Cant, I forgot to bless it. Well, I stopped invoking The Tribunal before important forges after I saw how distasteful the Plane of Justice is. But in all the excitement I did forget to draw mystical runes around the forge first. Maybe that was it. Next time I have to do that AND try a gnome, just for extra help hehe.

                        I know the feeling.
It took forever to farm the stuff for Farwater Plate legs for a guildmate. No one wants to hunt in Water because it is laggy.
                        I feel your pain.

I always seem to be fine when combining POP items for friends who bring me all the components.

BUT - when I fork out the cash for components and try for myself, I ALWAYS fail. I have stopped bothering now.
