After at least nine or ten months of scanning the Bazaar on a daily basis I finally find not just one, but two affordable metallic substances in the Bazaar! OMG! Gotta go to work, but I nab em and stow them safely in the bank.
While I'm at work I consult my Magelo (hastily updated this morning) to make sure I have what I need. Study the stats on the different pieces of inferno chain available and compare to what I have, and decide to try gauntlets. No stats are out on them, so I might even make the first set ever!
When I get home I rush to the bank and grab my hoard of materials and start doing subcombines. Wonderful guildmember logs her enchanted on to make the purified mana. Marvelous friendly fellow tradesperson whose name I found on the server boards does the brewing on the tempers and jewelcraft on the emblem since I don't trust my own 200 skill with this.
One silly failure enchanting the ore with the mana, but no big whup, guildie is still on her chanter and whips up another, and the ore is cheap in the Bazaar.
Buy a pattern and run to the forge that's giving me the best vibes.
Put everything in...consult recipe to double check ingredients. Triple check ingredients. Tell guildies and friends to think happy, successful smithing thoughts...
...click COMBINE...
Failed.
But I get the emblem back, the one piece that doesn't require the ingredient that's held me up all this time. BAH!
Ahh, the life of a tradeskiller....
I need a hug...
