      Lets look at the facts;

      Milk is available all over Norrath.
      Cheese is only in Jaggedpine.

      The Millers have the largest farm that takes up roughly 20% of West Karana, yet lions, bears, bandits, and the occasional giant wanters those lands. (I suspect their farm is MUCH larger than that since I'm able to forage Miller Carrots all voer WK)

      The Millers cast a mass invisibility spell on the cows.

          In EQ 2 there are cows. I watched them kill a farmer and his cow at fan faire.

            Othmir, of course

            I have long held forth that the milk is all imported Othmir milk. *nods* Otter milk! It's for your health!

              That begets the question, "Where did milk come from BEFORE they re-discovered Velious?"

                Huuuuuuuuuuuge banker conspiracy. I mean, the instant the REST of Norrath 'discovered' Velious, all the banks automatically linked with all the other banks!

                So some of the bankers would go to CS and talk to the otters and put some milk in their own communal bank slots (i mean, when it's your system, you can make exceptions, not to mention the rules in the first place), and supplied the milk to all the other milk vendors around Norrath. That's why vendors charge you more for an item than they'll pay you for it; they have to pay off their milk prices to the bankers.

                My gosh if any of this is coming out in coherent English, I get candy.

                So the bankers, once again, are in control of the economy of Norrath... all based on the milk.

                Just don't ask them why Water Flask is brown.

                I like this thread. So much of what's said sounds like me when I'm crazy. (Including the 'why am i posting at 630 am' guy ^,____,^!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

                  /snaps his fingers.

                  Of course! I should have guessed. The old solutions are always the best: "Follow the money!"

                  Guess that explains why I'm trying to get rich via tradeskills (and failing miserably, but that's neither here nor there) .

                    That doesn't worry me, even back in the old west, you asked for water, it was brown.

                    My worry is why is purified water brown???
