Thank goodness for LDoN!
After tireless vendor mining for the past several days, I collected enough temper ingredients to make 205 tempers (after a failure or two). I sat down and made several stacks of medium quality folded sheet metal. I set myself up for a run, hoping beyond hope I would FINALLY break past 196.
The 190s have been sheer hell. From 194-195 took 105 combines. I was up over 200 combines to get over 196 when I started my run this morning.
Things didn't look good. But then, at combine number 238 (the 206 combines I had before plus the 32 I did) I FINALLY broke the wall and got 197 in smithing.
I made stuff til I ran out of sheet metal. (I reported the numbers backward on the channel so I apologize if my numbers seemed inflated). I did 133 total combines and have 72 tempers left, but not only did I break 196, I am now at skill 205 in blacksmithing!
Including the 33 combines it took to get my first skillup, I averaged a little under 15 combines a skillup. Finally, the RNG cut this poor little shadowknight a break.
