Does anyone have any idea why my sig has 2 or 3 lines of space at the bottom of it?

Edit: And no, there aren't extra breaks at the bottom of my code.

It may be choking on the cariage returns you have in your sig. Not at the end, but within the sig.

Buz, my general philosopy is that lots of unused space in a sig is bad :P

And my philosophy is that sig tests clutter the board with otherwise empty posts. Kindly use the Preview option to see how your post will render before hitting Submit.

i'm glad to see that the bbcode here allows for lists.. this si good.. and i guess html is allowed as well.. as long as no one abuses that.. what I would like to see, is bbcode for tables.. then you can pretty much disable the html altogeather if need be..

                Mdaisy -

Information on creating a .sig is covered in the http://mboards.eqtraders.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=63FAQ: How to use Signatures</a> post.

A complete example of the drop-down list is there, as well as image-linking, tables, and a few basic guidelines.

Uh ... I'm assuming this is not what you ment for your sig:

                    [---]

Is this supposed to be something a bit ... er, different?

And just curious - I see sigs like this:

                    [---]

                    [---]
numerous places. The amount of acrage they eat up just can get annoying. Are these supposed to look "different" as well?

I don't mean this as an attack against either of you. Just a bit of curiousity on my part, using you as examples With the discovery process of adapting to these boards, I figure its a decient time to pose such questions.

I imagine it's the same problem folks ran into on EzBoard, that is that Netscape doesn't handle /select well unless it's part of a /form. Explorer was more forgiving about this which allowed for the drop down menu to work properly ... provided you weren't trying to view it with Netscape.

And which I mentioned in the FAQ.

IE 5+ and Opera all are more forgiving or FORMS elements outside a set of FORM tags.

And Netscape 6+ seems to handle it pretty well too.

Netscape 6? wow ... every time I'd been trying to do web pages, I found NS6 to be the *least* forgiving browser. Netscape 4 would crash randomly, IE would have odd colors ... but NS6 just would go wacko unless the tags were all perfect. Interesting to here that at least somewhere it's flexible ...

I figured out the problem -
All the posts I looked at were short, so the message was just the minimum width, which includes some space below my avatar.

                            Thanks for the help
