My wife was going to the store and asked me if I needed anything. Without thinking I replied 5 stacks of dots. To make things worse, she came home with 5 packages of those dippin dots...the ones where they are dots of candy on the paper. She said "no idea why you wanted these, but I managed to find them." ops:

Note: wife does not play EQ so she wasn't doing that deliberatly.

Yah Garga.... you lost me at 'wife went out of her way to buy something for you without knowing why'.... was funny until you went all science fiction there.

That coupled with the rarity of 'dots' and the absurd lengths needed to go to to acquire them shows that your post was entirely made up.

Sorry, a bit tired... and I have no clue what a stack of Dots is, and I've played the game almost a year, hehe.

Dots, as in peridots. used by clerics for symbols and stuff

Peridots, I imagine. Dot is a common (if confusing) slang term for them. It's not five stacks of Damage over Time.

Sorry, only slang for Peridot's I had heard of was Peri's... and that I've used often.

It is the currency for my monk whenever he is away from town, because money weighs too much.

I kinda thought the 't' was silent in it... like peridoh, so that is even more confusing as to why you'd abreviate and change how it's said.

Oddly enough, I thought the same thing about the pronunciation. Hence, I verbally call them "doughs". Though I like your interpretation, too -- "Doh! That was stupid. Need a rez. Need a dot!"

I run up to my dogs to play chase and I yell RAR a monster is after you EVAC EVAC!

I also say Veto and make a slashing motion.

When I want to avoid something (like a chore or something) I make the iksar FD sound. Fortunately I live with EQ players so this is all normal behavior. I've never said /g but I have typed it or /rep SO many times in aim its not even funny.

I find ground spawns all the time in RL.

I was bored in a meeting and perked up because I was like, hey /baz and look for cheap flawless hides... oh wait never mind... :~(

Hmm, last week a friend walked up to me at work and was talking so fast I could barely understand her. I told her to stop spamming us, and she just looked at me. Non-EQ people give you the weirdest looks sometimes )

...when you turn on your computer, run EQ and use the RNG for choosing your number while playing the loto (hotkey: /rand 1 49 repeat x 5), sigh

                              Guess I can't hold a candle

My non-EQ friends were amused by the concept of trains when I explained it to them during a D&D session...
and we use "n00b" in common parlance these days...
and I have on occasion *thought* "rofl" but never said it....

I somehow feel I'm coming up short here.

So, I guess that just means I need to play more!

                              P.S. Hi Clem!
