What preferences you have in making characters?

I typically use the same race/class/name combinations. In Vanguard beta, I created a wood elf ranger named Nolrog. If it was a different class ranger, than the name would be differet, as Nolly is always a wood elf. Cue is always a halfling druid. Tam is always a dark elf (although, this is one case where I deviated, because she's a mage on Drinal and a SK on Combine but in both cases, she's a dark elf.)

I tend to stay away from the evil classes and races, but not avoid them completely. I don't like ogres and trolls, so I've never played either. Until recently, I didn't have an iksar either (although I now have an iksar shaman. He's iksar because I needed someone outside Cabalis to off-load all my coin to one day and to pick up some food and drink for me, and I just kept him, although I don't really like how he looks.)

My main is an Erudite enchanter. I took the class because I prefer the versatility...for the same reason I chose a ranger (wood elf) for an alt, who is currently up to 41.

I took over a cleric account so I would have one for buffs and rezzes, and she turned out through pure luck to be an Erudite as well, so she now wears a shiny new set of GM armor. My poor lil ranger is gonna be working on smithing soon

I tend to stick mostly with the INT casters. My main is a Mage. I also have 3 Chanters, 3 Necros and 2 Wizards.

Other pure casters are 2 Druids, 1 Shaman and 1 Cleric.

But I also like hybrids. I have 1 SK, 2 Rangers and 2 BL's.

I have 1 Rogue*.

I have no Warriors, Berserkers, Monks, Bards or Paladins.

All of my characters are male except for the SK and the 2 Rangers. For some reason I like my Melee Hybrids to be females.

Bottom line I prefer Casters to Hybrids, Hybrids to pure Melee and among Casters and hybrids, I prefer the Pet classes. Mage, Chanter, Necro, SK.

* My Rogue was leveled to 28 at which point I lost interest and made him into a Bazaar Mule.

I love playing an enchanter. Nothing is better than grouping with an ogre and casting Illusion: Gnome with out them realizing it!
I do like the enchanter class on EQ2 as well. I cant believe how well they can kick some... butt.

Well, I haven't played many paladins actually.. I have only played a few

But in a "What I would make" it would prolly be human..My fathers first char was a Human Paladin (Lonador.tholuxe Paells.Late kunark/early velious) and I watched him play ALOT

In a roleplaying sense I would have to go Dwarf
I hate playing dwarves but they match every class they can get ..perfectly
