I camped that blasted AC with a party... I could be standing up, BEHIND the rest of the group who is SITTING down between me and it... and it STILL comes directly for me every time....

Day One's disapointment in OOT

Killed PH's for 2 1/2 hours. Fished in between the kills. Only good thing to come from it was 50 pp, 57 scales, 50 fresh fish, 18 Gunthak Mackerals, 17 Saltwater Seaweed, and 105 in fishing skill. Saldra Trailfinder bared witness to my swearing, my fits, my stomping of the ground, even my pleading with Cazic-Thule to please have the A.C. spawn after this: ogre, cyclops, pirate, ogre, pirate, cyclops, cyclops, aqua goblin, cyclops, aqua goblin, cyclops, cyclops, aqua goblin, cyclops, cyclops, aqua goblin, cyclops, cyclops, cyclops, cyclops, cyclops, ogre, and that vile aqua goblin. As i gave up all hope an readied myself to leave another aqua goblin spawned! I screamed profanities at the gobbie and saw a seafury Cyclops on the next island blush!!!!
I will try again another day!!!!

When I was camping it, I also practiced my swimming. I was using a level 56 alt who still needed a lot of practice.

Ring Success

I made a short run thru So Ro. Killed a skele in the tower then two zombies outside and a madman omw towards gypsy camp and there the AC walking past the gypsy camp. Now I am sitting in Rathe looking for that evil halfling.

He is Evil!!!!! (gnome or halfling don't matter! ) A pally killed the PH and let me know when he spawned. We ran around Rathe trying to catch the little booger!!! He called HG's in to help cover his run. When I did catch up with him I had to fight 4 HG's while I did the exchange. Then I mistakeningly gave him 3600 gold and he refused to accept it and give me my boots!!!!! I then had to count the correct change out to him (3250) and I finally got my boots plus had to defend myself from all his HG friends. I may kill him next time and give his feet to a ogre friend to make a sandwitch with!!!!

I have been after the J-boots for 3 different char. the cleric, the wizzie and a friends pally and have had the MOST luck in Sro. We just basically cleaned out the sandpart of Sro and he would pop ( usually took anywhere from 20 min to 6 hours), the shadowed rapier was no biggies either but I found that Shadowmen in Neriak seemed to drop one faster then other zones.. or maybe I was just lucky? And the fast little dude in RM wasn't too hard either - except for once.. Someone decided that since he conned even to his group and that he was a NAMED spawn they had to kill him..

I still need to get my Zerker the boots.. and um.. G-nome *sandwish*

Luck of the Draw

There must be a conspiracy! One of my guild mates had the AC spawn 3 times in one day. GRRRRR. I am looking at how I may kill my guildie and make it look like a accident. Rogues have all the luck.

I have fought the Shadow men in West Commons several time through out my career. They seam to drop the rapier pretty reguler. I think the mob named 'a drake' seams to be Hastens place holder. He spawned 4 mins after it was killed. (the one the hangs around HG hill) Don't know though. If Brother Zephly is up I just log off hehe. I come back on later to even think of finding Hasten. I am trying for another AC to get ring for someone else in my guild now.

I agree, but the Shadow Men in Nektulos Forest is lower level and then easier to kill. And Yes, A drake is his PH as well as Madelyn the Mad ( I think that's his name) and Brother Zephly - they all "run" the same route at "haul ass" speed. ( Wonder if Hasten gave them Jboots too? ) I too stay away from the Brother - I think he would have put me over his knees and whupped me.

And grats to your guild-mate for getting a pair too. I think the best thing about the boots is not just the speed.. it's the fact that you don't have to wear them to get the "fast feet".

Thanks Kit. I just got another ring as I was running to get into an LDON group. It was 2 am game time and there the AC was walking past the Gypsy camp again. Sooo....I nuked him and gonna help another guildie get the boots.

WOOT What LUCK! Gratz!

I spend 4 hours Monday killing all the critters in the sand trying to get him to come out and play.. ( My little cleric needs a pair) - He JUST refused to show up Then Tuesday we spend another 3 hours and still no AC.. I think he might have gone on vacation.. Gonna try again next week once I find some patience....
