When I played my high elf cleric I always used

/em opens his copy of Play Elf and thumbs to the centerfold...

usually got a strange response since I was a cleric and a snooty high elf

    or when I got aggro
/em blows the wistle... ROUGHING THE CLERIC! 5 yard penalty still first down!

Now that I'm a hobbit its usually

/em sits and quietly grooms his foot hair.

My Dwarf Paladin used to do a lot of axe juggling in his earlier days and i've still got a stack of emotes hotkeyed to do with juggling tricks like -

/em pulls off an amazing feat of juggling with 3 axes, a bottle of beer and a small octopus !

They used to get progressively more complex and people in the group would start appluading until the inevitable would happen...

/em fumbles a complex move and a stray juggling axe almost takes off %T's nose !

If things are slow I often /em burp, hiccup, or sneeze whenever I actually do those things RL. When I have enough advance notice that someone is about to teleport me, I also sometimes /em grabs ahold of %t's ankle and holds on tight!

And of course my classic when someone needs comforting: /em wraps her paws around %t and squeezes. Needless to say, when the person is right there that's best performed while in bear form.

When things are going well in a battle, my halfling cleric likes to pull out his hammer and do a little "swinging" action.

/gsay "You fight well %T, but are you ready to dance the Tango of Death with the Mighty Cnoc?"

When he has plenty of mana, he will do a little nuking...

/gsay "By Bristlebane's Holy Whoopee Cushion, %T shall feel the Wrath of Cnoc!"

And when the angry mobs turn on him, he will say...

/gsay "Help! %T is beating the Iron Rations out of me!"

            Unusual emotes?

I have a couple that I use in group ... since folks didn't want my Paladin but always seemed to need a healer ...

/g I will sit and be GOOD.
/g I will SIT and be good.
/g I WILL sit and be good.
            /g ...
            /g I wanna SMACK it!

(And yes, circumstances permitting, she will melee ... very much a battle cleric when she doesn't get pounded to death from having inadequate gear.)

Another one for when there's no mana buffs available ...

            /g Oh I wish I had a bard breeze and clarity ...
/g That is what I'd truly like to see ...
/g For if I had a bard breeze and clarity ...
/g Mana would not run out easily!
            /g (tune of "Oscar Mayer")

She also prays for their healing and resurrection, if there's time. (Battle Rezzes are merely announced as such and clicked.)

            If there's a feigner ...

/em looks concerned, rummages in pack till she finds a bottle of smelling salts.
            /says "Oops!"
/em watches helplessly as the lid comes off and the contents pour all over the poor %R's face.

I don't have a hotkey, and it doesn't seem to happen quite so much anymore, but I used to frequently /em swings her really, really, really big Axe at your head, whenever someone asked my barbarian warrior for SoW...

Ran into a bunch of my old ones from when i was a noob. Tucked away on a barely used hotkey set.

/em hums a happy halfling tune.

/em whispers 'this place gives me the creeps'

I have a few. . . they're not nearly as clever as the ones I found here, tho. . .

/em gnaws absently on %t's ankles (used with an ogre in my "usual" group for LDoN runs). He, in turn, "/em shakes off the cleric like the mangy dog she is."

/em twiddles her thumbs and hums her medding song (before level 35, when you still had to use the spell book)

/em meds as fast as <elvenly> possible.

                            My Magic Buttons, and Others

I have a few buttons set up. My favorites:

As a Halfling cleric, I often get asked for SoW, because everyone assumes that Halflings are all druids. I set up two of them. The first, if I'm busy or in a hurry, is:

/em looks meaningfully at her PLATE breastplate.
(sometimes followed up by casting Shield of Words, since that's the SoW I have...)

                            The other, longer one, is:

                            /wait 5, /em 's spell fizzles!
                            /wait 5, /em 's spell fizzles!
                            /wait 5, /em 's spell fizzles!
                            /wait 5, /em remembers she's a cleric.
/wait 5, /em remembers that clerics can't cast Spirit of Wolf.

To get Temperance moochers to leave:

                            /wait 5, /em 's spell fizzles!
                            /wait 5, /em 's spell fizzles!
                            /wait 5, /em 's spell fizzles!
                            /wait 5, /em 's spell fizzles!
/say Sorry, out of mana, and I have to run now. Good luck!

And once I encountered a beastlord whose hotbuttons said stuff like this:

/say Get over here, you dumb dog!
                            /pet follow

/say Go do something useful, you mangy mutt! Kill that!
                            /pet attack on

...and other such emotive commands. It was quite funny listening to him using his pet in combat.

The misconception about all halflings being druids doesn't stop at casters.

It doesn't happen as much lately, but there was a period of time when I was frequently asked for SoWs. If they were high enough level to know better, I'd say something like, "wait for my mana to come up," sit down and emote:

                              /em taps his screen
                              /em taps his screen again

Then I'd apologize and explain that my mana bar must be broken since it hasn't risen in XX levels.

Once I even had someone tell me that I should /petition it!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I get asked for SoW, meaning the travel spell, quite frequently.

I am not only a Dark Elf, and a cleric, but I haven't been out of plate mail since level 35. (I don't like the way leather looks.)
