I positvely demand a german translation of PHAT LEWT.
I'd go with "vate Luete" personally, but there may be better alternatives. =P

I could probably help with moderating the Kael forum. I cant actually play on that server tho, so if you'd prefer a "local", I'm afraid you'd have to count me out.

      ...

I'm fine with the Kael name for the German server, but the French one should be named Crushbone, or Blackburrow.

Server names should reflect the military prowess of the nation it's in, I say

Posts auf dem Marktplatz (re: concerning posting on the marketplace)
That's the one we wanted. It definitely helps to have a properly translated subject line.

We'll want something similar for the French one, as I know I'd mangle conjugations and such.

French transalation for "Posting to The Marketplace":

Afficher un message dans « Le Marché »

          or

Afficher un message dans « The Marketplace»

depending on if you want a straight translation of the board's actual name or not

Makala, Sebilis (the zone) is full of frogs. I'd say it's a good name for a french server.

Venril, for the Denmom, is the English speaking euro server.

Venril Sathir is the new UK server, should be able to make do with English there

Edit: bah, was beaten to it (posted response before finishing the thread)

While reading this old(?) thread, for an answer to my PHAT LEWT translation, I read this post, and proceeded to laugh my hobbit behind off.

                Thank you.

                  Hello all

As I'm french, my english is feeble or seems to be spoken by a 7 years old gus, but I think I'm strong enough in my mother tongue language to propose you some slight modifications about the excellent translation Maevenniia did.
In fact, the current french language includes sereval forrein words taken from the web or its neighbourhood... and other words are never used to point some specific situations. So several english words should be used instead of their french translation to make the language not artificial and more fluent.
I didn't find the original sentences (ashame) , and I did the modification from the text I found, and not from the original text. I'd like to have been near original meanings.
I propose this one instead, that seems easier to read for the poor froglocks we are.

                  Bonne lecture, X"

You may have a lot of work in the next months and our "12 years old Kevin" may post here .
As a lot of french speaking people on Karana and other servers, I'll keep an eye on the french threads (you can use the word in french) and warn you if there is some inacceptable posts or replies .

/tell Makala By the way, the Sebilis name is a pun about a french custom about eating frog's legs.. not the habit our army had to lame through the last century during 2 wars and more . I guess Keal Drakkal should be more assimilated to a german server, but I'm personnally convinced VI lacked in imagination. That name has a strong millitarian connotation in the game to me, and we should assimilate it to what your army did in the last century... or how they lamed two centuries ago .
But, we're not here to talk about this in a fantasy game, names are just here to be took like they are, puns, and I hope they do not reflect the simplist image American people got on us, hehehe.
If not, the German and the French server should have been named Karana plains, because we're peasans on bikes in their movies, lol.
