Of what I speak are not complaints or how something needs to be nerfed but ideas that speak to the development and growth of the game, ideas that would appeal to the marketing department and upper-level management.

Or are you going to telecommute?

I wonder if Old Brodder could have worked for SOE back when if they'd allowed telecommuting...someone did ask me to send a resume back then...but moving wasn't an option (was still undergoing therapy from broken neck in 94 and getting back on my feet.)

I am still a 45 minute drive from the site (despite still being in San Diego County... bad trafic, naughty trafic!)

Congrats Ngreth! I think it's awsome that after so much time of putting your heart into something that you will be able to affect it's evolution, if even in a little way. I know you will do great and will always keep us in mind when discussions come around. I hope SoE will value the input you will give them.
I'd also like to wish you luck in maintaining the seperation you will have to between your job and the website you love so much. I know it will be tough at times but I am sure you will do it well.

While your unique input into these forums will be missed, it is comforting to know there's someone there who will be doing his best to nudge things forward from the player's perspective. (Yes, I fully understand that actually covers many points of view, but you've always seemed to have a level head... hopefully not because of too many whacks with a certain rolling pin!!)

I know the other folks do try, but they may never have been restricted to player-only capablitites. At least, I know that if I had the know-how, the coding, *and* (most importantly) the blessing of SOE to invoke something like... oh, let's imagine maybe -- an automatic success to a particular recipe... I cannot guarantee I'd do it the hard way.

I know it cannot be made too easy, lest we lose that satisfaction that comes from finally achieving a particular skill level or successfully completing a combine. If someone wants it all handed to 'em without effort, that's what Television is good for. /grin

I know you're only one voice among many, and probably have to start as the "newbie" and work your way up to being acknowledged for the intelligent rogue that you are. ("Intelligent ogre" was just too big an oxymoron, I couldn't bring myself to type it with serious intent.)

Having lived in San Diego for 3 years.. a 45 minute drive.. Ngreth walk the darn block and a half already! Ogre legs travel ever so much faster than cars in that traffic.
