CHecked Kelethim today. No big numbers (most smaller than 40) but what is fishy about it is that they are on every out of the way merchant.

Could be someone had some left over, and was just dumping them off. I checked around a few vendors in Rivervale, and didn't come across anything odd.

Today in Felwithe I found 852 raw diamonds, 642 diamonds, 547 blue diamonds, 539 flawless diamonds, and 475 serpent spine diamonds on one single vendor alone. Looking at some of the other vendors I found even more. The problem actually seems worse since the latest patch. This exploit still seems to be present and has not been fixed.

once in a while I find a merchant selling some pumpkin spices that someone has sold to the merchant. 1 I could understand...10 is also understandable...100 seems a bit on the funny side already but 36000 definitly hits the weirdspot

I have seen that many times and I believe its part of the merchants "normal" stock, And the 36000 is just the maximum stock the devs could put on the item. Those items showed up for holloween last year on select vendors and I think they were to be removed but never were.

Oh crap, what am I going to do with 700 Blue Diamonds?

Completely forgetting about this thread, I put up a buyer for blue diamonds this morning. No thinking about it, I just entered 999 into the amount category, as I needed quite a few. While I was making lunch, someone sold me 700 of them. People usually sell me one or two at a time, sometimes a whole stack (of twenty) or, very rarely, two stacks, but 700 at once!? The only method I can think of getting 700 blue diamonds is by cheating somehow, or buying them from a vendor that a cheater sold too. Now I'm out a quarter million plat(I was buying them at 365 each) and though I am far from poor, that is still much more than I wanted to spend on them. The Blue Diamonds probably came from cheating, which means if the EQ people ever get around to fixing this exploit, I might get nailed with a roll back or something . But even if I don't get caught in a punishment net, what the heck am I going to do with 700 Blue Diamonds?!

Diving in Kelethin today, and once again there's 100s of Black Sapphires, Raw Diamonds and Diamonds. No Blue Diamonds that Iv seen, unless someone went and bought them already. But Im now convinced there is someone out there duplicating items. Funny how this has happend over long holiday weekends. Just a heads up ya'll. =)

*Edit* - did a bug report and within 5 mins there was a gm standing behind me in zone. =) Sooo explained to the GM and they documented what I had found and notified "the authorities" hehe Hopefully they can figure out who sold the gems to the vendors and take action.

Kelethin on Prexus 2 vendors had over 1800+ diamonds and 500+ raw, flawless, and black sapphires. Only sawon 2 vendors but didn;t check whole zone. Someone out there is making a killing off this bug/exploit. You would think the idiots would be smart and sell all the gems to a full vendor so they poof, no evidence.

Among other reasons, I really wish they would get it fixed so I feel "safe" buying blue diamonds again from a vendor. I haven't dared buy any since this started as I don't want to be involved in any type of rollback because I have 'tainted' blue diamonds on me

They may only be able to exploit it by selling them to a vendor that isn't full... I remember quite a few years back there was a big exploit with selling Blue Diamonds to a certain vendor in the bazaar but it had to be in the vendors inventory.

Regardless I wish this bug would get fixed.

I figure, it is that, or possibly just only in certain zones, and you don't find full vendors in those zones.. because it seems predominantly in certain ones.
