IMO the reason SOE priced SoF at $40 and included all the previous expansions is to get new players into the game.This also the reason there isn't any lvl limits on the new JC.Once they hit there target number for next year then will you see lvl limits.

Recommended levels
They finally put recommended levels on these items. The ones that my bard on Stromm has range from 40 to 65. They also nerfed the high HP/mana/end type 11 aug, but not the type 10 100 HP (or 100 HP and End) augs.
When you combine augs with different recommended levels, the item takes on the highest rec. level, which then affects all of the items (for example, my 54 bard has a rec. 40 aug with 100 HP, but because it's in a setting with a rec. 60 aug, it's only giving 90 hp).
The type 11 Trilion Cut Staurolite was AC +12, Dex +14, HP/Mana/End +100, Sv D/M +14, but is now AC +10, Dex +12, HP/Mana/End +91, Sv D/M +12 at 55, which isn't bad for a nerf.
The type 11 Trilion Cut Shimmering Nihilite was AC +10, HP/Mana/End +250, but is now AC +2, HP/Mana/End +57 and level 65, which is a pretty harsh nerf!
I didn't have any of the +10 AC, +375 (single stat HP or mana or end) augs, but I imagine they were also nerfed harshly.
