possible new planar bow cam found

Just read this on the fletching board (visit it for the recipe).

The plane of water yields a new planar bow for which we can possibly make the cams.

THe cam recipe would envolve: cam parts (?) e'cian ice and a file.
The resulting gears and bolts can be tinkered with the clockwork grease in the usual fashion.

So, the hunt for cam parts and e'cian ice is on.

The cam parts would be made by a smith.. with a cam mold and some material from the plane (there's one from each of the elemental planes)

That combine results in a gear and bolt of the element in question, then we turn it into a cam, and give it to a fletcher... so three tradeskills are involved in making the bow.

Aye, you can find these recipes already on the PoP recipes page, but it takes a bit of flipping back and forth to realize that the various planar bows need you to chase down smiths AND tinkers AND tailors before the fletcher can do their part.

The nightmare bow, which uses the innovative cams, is the only one of those bow recipes to NOT require a smithed part, but all the others require that the bolts and gears for the cams be smithed before a tinker putters with them.

on the subject of Nightmare bows

Since you were just talking about the Bow cams n stuff, was wondering if someone could tell me where to find the Wax needed to make the nightmare silk into nightmare string used in Nightmare bowmaking. Am posting here because it is used in the tailoring part of the process.

If you check the main site (eqtraders.com) you'll find it if you click on 'trade supplies' then under tradeskill click 'fletching' and on the fletching page do a 'find' (if using IE it's under the edit tab of your top menu bar).

Or you can just go to the fletching vendors in POK. Which is where it's sold. Kinda makes sense -- POP dropped components, prolly check POP vendors? This time you get lucky and someone gives you an easy answer.

While this actually works in this situation (I cross-listed it), the normal logic when searching the trade supplies pages is to look under the tradeskill that requires the actual combine, which, in this case, is tailoring. Even though the end result is for a fletching combine, the string is a tailoring combine, so the wax is ofically a tailoring ingredient.
