  • Chitterling Barb

Is there a good place to hunt these Chitterling, I have found them in the caves and out in the open, but not alot. Used a Ranger with tracking and still not alot of luck.

Are they on a spawn table with other mobs that need to me killed to repop them.

    Anywhere ....

I've seen them wandering in the newbie area, in the caves on the way to Paludal, and everywhere in-between.

Rather than hunt Chitterlings there, if you are of level, go kill the swarms of them that are in Mons Letalis. I could kill 15-20 there and get 10 barbs easily in around 10 minutes.

Hrm, I've never seen chitterlings in Mons Letalis. I've seen lots of shik'nar, though. I've never seen one drop a chitterling barb, either.

I won't say that they don't, since I haven't killed many. If you want to use Mons Letalis as a place for exp, or for rockhopper hides, I don't recommend killing the shik'nar. When you do, your faction will decrease and you'll become KoS quickly. They will be a real nuisance since there are so many of them between you and your rockhopper. I think they will attack every up to level 65 if KoS, too.

If you have camped for a Vex Thall key, the point is moot. You're KoS to the shik'nar

Sorry, I forgot to metion, they aren't called chitterlings in ML, they are the lil baby shik'nar thingies (name escapes me atm). They are in groups of 2-6 all about the zone. If I could get onto the beastiary on alla, I'd letcha know what they're called

If it's the baby ones, they are KOS to everyone from the start. There is a patch of them near The Grey's zone line. I haven't killed any (love egress), so can't say if you get a faction hit with them.

No faction hit's from them from what I recall, and they are called Shik'nar Hatchlings. Level 39-40. Not too tuff, and if you stand back from them a bit, can single em quite easily if you don't wanna kill the swarm all at once. Wizards have been known to ae them quite easily.

No faction hits.. they're really easy. Excellent experience for the difficulty, too.
