  • full and half size vanishing device difference?

Does anyone know what the full and half capacity gnomish vanishing devices are and the difference between them?

I am assuming it is a device to cast invisibility instead of a potion. Is that correct?

Even if that is the case, why are there 2 versions, a full and half capacity one? I have tried asking in general and in guild but no one seems to know : (

The gnomish vanishing devices are indeed a way to get a multi-charge invis item. They've become less useful since cloudy potions were made to stack; when cloudy potions were only one to a stack, the GVD was very highly prized.

The half-capacity and full-capacity GVD are basically identical; the only difference is the number of charges. A fully charged full-capacity has 10 charges, a fully charged half-capacity has 5 charges. You can take either one and use either charging fuel to turn it into the other. So for example, if you have a full-capacity one that's out of charge, and you recharge it with a mana battery, it turns into a half-capacity one with five charges. If you take the half-capacity one and charge it with the infused dark matter, you'll get a full capacity one with 10 charges.

Does that make it a bit clearer?
