bad luck on the holepoker?

and I have tinkering mastery 3

The site calculator says 69.75% chance to succeed.
I've failed on 7 in a row now. That's well, statistically not very likely.

What am I missing? Does it have a higher fail rate or do I just have very bad luck?

Even without mastery (assuming it's not working) the calculator says 39.5%, that's still a pretty high chance to succeed 1 in 7.

The INT doesn't come into play on the success rate, and I'd be quite surprised if Ngreth added a success rate cap to this in addition to the 404 triv... so I guess you've just been bitten by the RNG again....

I would agree that this just sounds like a run of bad luck.

I've probably make about 15 or 20 of them since the expansion came out and haven't failed one yet I believe. However, my base skill is 300 with Tinkering Mastery 2. The last one I made was probably 2 weeks ago or so, so I haven't noticed any recent issues.

Before I had my tinker alt up to snuff and needed on of these made I collected ingredients and contacted a couple GM gnomes. I was told by both of them (300 skill, 7/7 trophy, tinkering mastery 3, maxx int) that they have about a 1 in 6 success rate. I had enough for the one I had make it to try 5 combines. Failed the first 3 combines, made the last 2 LOL.

So yeah I have 2 now (if anybody looking to buy one on 7th hammer... LOL).

My level 16 Tinker 300 skill is 2-3 on holepokers. Gathered materials for 3 tries, 1 went to my researcher and the other got sold.

Curious Liwsa, what did you sell yours for? I know server economies are different but just looking for input. I haven't seen one for sale on 7th Hammer since I've been looking, and now I have one to sell. I was told by a few folks 750K - 1 million which I just find absolutely ridiculous. I had it up for a bit at 400K and got a lot of "what's it for" questions.

Any input is greatly appreciated.
