    a FAQ possibly

    I am skilling up in fletching from bows from the plane of water on my Iksar. I have been asking friends to make bow cams for me, and this is a pita I am sure to them. I am considering making a gnome to at least make the jars of clockwork grease, but I cannot seem to find any guides or information on what level I need to get my gnome to in order to do this no fail 15 trivial combine.

    What level does a gnome have to be to start tinkering?

    "First off: Get your Gnome to level 16, and get him/her as much INT/WIS (depending on class) gear that you are able to, in order to help with the skill ups.

      The jars are made by... Pottery. (Click me!!!)
      The combine of Clockwork Grease in the Small Grease Jar is a tinkering combine, however it is no fail. I believe this combine can be done by non-gnomes, although I have not personally verified this.

        I am 99% certain it can be done by non-gnomes... BUT only gnomes can "learn" it. Non-gnomes will always have to use experiment mode. I could be wrong here (not going in to test it... sorry!)

          While it is suggested that you can make cams yourself, the answer to the question you posed is, level one. Gnomes are born tinkers with a skill of 50. They cannot get skillups in tinkering until they gain level 16.

              Your also gonna need a lvl 46 druid or someone who can forage in PoI for the grease:-)
