Made my first Class IV Roboboar Upgrade Devices

I just made my first two Class IV Roboboar Upgrade Devices on the live server. Used one myself (every tinker needs one) and sold one for 20K. My cost is a bit less than 15K for the materials, so there is some profit to be made, but I don't think I'll make many of them. =) ...

Any idea of exactly what speed this upgrade makes your roboboar run? I've been looking around at Sony's EverQuest forums, but I've found nothing. If it's fast enough, I just might get one for my enchanter's roboboar. Otherwise, I'll save up platinum for a chain bridle.

One of em goes seru/emp speed I think. I don't know which one it is. But I don't want to test this, as once you make the upgrade, your stuck with that roboboar until Ngreth fixes that by allowing conversion between ranks.

Just did a time run in PoK. Running along one side, the standard Roboboar took approximately 26 seconds to go corner to corner, while the Class IV took approximately 14 seconds. Looks to be about twice as fast. Not sure how that compares to horse speeds though...

With run0 as the base, mount speed improvements are about 7, 43, 78, 114% (vendor), and 150% (drop only).

We need a better hint then "a magical essence". I have tried the essences from FR, and two of the essences from the key to get to Zegony (never finised the key). I suspect three essences, all some kind of golem animation essence. But if you say its like a seru drop, then it has to be from a raid mob of some sort??
Help me out here for the love of brell.

How does the actual conversion occur. I made the container. Does the user just place the Boar Summoning Item in the container and click or does it need an other component reagent?

wow, this is a real deal. upgrade to a 100k mount speed for less than 15k. think i'll be selling it for a bit more than 20k.

The buyer needs to buy a 81k item to combine in the container with the Summon:Roboboar item. Still about 90k even with max CHA and ally.

The parts kit for the Class IV is about 14 - 15k, so the total cost in vendor parts is over 95k before dropped components and tinkerer profit...for people that love their boar, not a problem, but you will have plenty that say "Just get the horse"...

Relax, folks, the expansion is only a few days old. Give the top raiding guilds a little time to dig their way into the various high end zones and find and learn the various encounters in them. After that happens the info about what drops and where will begin to trickle out.
