  • Woot.

    I just have to share.

I won my first LB on a raid last week, and I had been slowly gahtering supplies for Guiscard and Gnomedeguerre to work on to make an AAAA.

Well it took 5 hours of running around, probably b/c I didn't have the foresight to figure out how many of each subcombined item I needed in advance, and so i just worked my way down the recipe one item at a time, but I made my first AAAA on Saturday. I only failed one subcombine, on an infused gear, so relatively benign in impact to my psyche.

The last click was a scary one -- Gnomedeguerre is only 16th level and so even though the combine was 95% likely (maybe 96%? At 300 skill he's more than 40 over 252), he has no Salvage and if the RNG had struck me down, I would not have been able to face a re-do. But now I am the proud user of a Last Blood of the Duelist and I have the added pleasure of having made my own AAAA from scratch, down to farming the bricks for the re-stock quest.

Grats! I remember the first time I made an AAAA from scratch, it took hours figuring everything out. Process is definitely more streamlined now. I still have that little hesitation and hold my breath when I hit combine for the final step. Even though its the trivial combine, its the most stressful part.

        grats!

Big grats. isnt it a nice feeling of accomplishment?

Man, I agree on holding your breath on only the last combine. Failing one that trivial is just such a slap after all the sucesses to get that far My secret is to usually have my son combine those while I go smoke heavily~ hes 7 so it doesnt bother him to do it and when I get back, for better or worse, its over with
