            Got to 282 couple days later. Then went through 30 or so PoInnovation combines, 3 AAAAs and still at 282. Only failed one sub-combine on AAAAs, so I'm pretty happy.

            If you want some armor / tinkering, leave me in-game email. I raid most of the nights and am online all weekend (as always)

              I've made about 15 AAAAs in the last couple of weeks and haven't gotten a single skill up. Still stuck at 291.

                  I made 5 lately, and went from 282 to 283 on my gnome alt. It is the subcombines that provide the skillups, since the final combine is a lower skill level.

                    Yeah, AAAA's are taking forever to produce skillups. My tinkerer has made over 30 and I think I have gotten 2 skillups total. Just doesn't seem right for all of those 351 trivial combines. I should just decimate The Deep for a bit and pick up some more yttrium and make some cultural.

                      The sad thing about yttrium is that you need a decent smithing skill to work these...

                        Smithing is not that difficult to get to the 180 range or even less with Geerlok, as the trivial for the cultural is 181 I believe or something around there.

                          Getting smithing high enough to do the cultural combine isn't hard at all. A friend and I got my tinkerslave's smithing up to 222 in a couple of hours. The tedious part is farming the yttrium ore.

                          Made 7 AAAAs Mon night and finally got a skill-up on one of the subcombines. I wish these had an increased chance of getting skill-ups built into them like cultural armor does.

                            If you are going to make AAAA's you are probably going to want the smithing skill anyhow just so you can do the subcombines on your tinker.

                              I got 300 + 12% tailoring and 250something + 15% smithing (and 200+ all other skills) on my druid main Bank space of two characters is very helpful also.
