  • Trouble getting Trophy quest from NPC

Ms. Baublie Diggs is telling me "You are not elligable for this test. Please try one of the other tests."
I have alredy done the Jewelry Test and have my Expert Jeweler Trophy.
My tinkering skill is currently 219, but I have not made the old trophy.
    What gives?

Weird, I was 216 when I did mine.

I usually run around in imp form and ran into the same problem. There really isn't any reason to have the race check since it already checks your tinkering skill.

I was right fer once? My chanter and druid have done similar. Guards and wolf form perfect togeth...Loading Please Wait.

Somebody did a complete coding job sounds like.
(and I bet he's away on vacation atm too)

Sounds like it might be used as a basis (I HOPE) of an AA tinkering ability?
          (yes, that's wishful thinking)

Actually, if a non-tinker wants to blow xx AA points on (the hoped for)Tinkering Mastery AA with a base skill of 0, I wish 'em well. I will also make sure that Mort's safely FD whenever they're around.

          .1 * 0.0 still = 0.0

Well.... that's not how the other mastery AAs work -- they reduce the chance to fail by 10, 20 and 50%. Now, someone with 0 skill has 0% chance to succeed, i.e. 100% chance to fail... so at level 3, they would expect to reduce that to 50% chance to fail, i.e. 50% chance to succeed....

Not quite. The chance to fail actually goes below zero (yes, I know that doesn't make mathematical sense). So someone with 0 tinkering could have a negative 100% chance of success (but the minimum success cap would bring that up to 5%). Mastery would cut that in half bringing it up to 0% (and then the success cap would bring it up to 5%). Even with mastery 3, any trivial above 60 is still only a 5% success.

I thought that all the tinkering combines were race restricted now?

I tried to make some firewater with my dwarf the other day cause I didn't want to camp to my gnome if I didn't have to and the trivial was only 17, and got the "can't combine" message.
