Hmmmm ... Will the new trophies from the PoR expansion have a detrimental effect on the geerlok market?

I'm not sure. I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on this.

At the lower levels of tradeskilling the geerlock is still the better modifier. the new trophies don't hit the 5% til after one reaches 200 skill.

There is still a market for them? I know when I was skilling thru that section I just destroyed them, the market was 100pp and under and I couldn't see under-cutting those prices.

Heck, I would have been happy to get 100pp for them. They were 50p and under (or even 25pp and under) on Prexus. I kept a couple of each on trader for awhile, but eventually just dumped them on an npc vendor.

I hope to get 25p on the rare events that I actually try to sell 'em. Most are given away to guildies or tribute dumped.

Rogues still sometimes like the necrotic divining device, but most of my tinkered stuff is tribute gear these days

Geerloks

I think most people buy their geerloks earlier than 200 in skill, so I'd say that there will be a market still.

However, I think the market will be smaller than before given the fact that 1) many people that want geerloks already have them and 2) many people will already be over the 200 skill and will get their PoR trophy.

Geerloks will have a market, probably much like the one they currently have. Newbie skillers who are starting out to 200. The only exception to this is for those who might need the bank space and tribute away their geerlok every now and again for an extra slot. They will likely hang on to their new trophy

BTW, the geerlok quills make good tribute. 4x cost to make. Fermentation devices are about 5x if I remember.

Ahh, very good to know. I have a TON of Fermentation devices on various mules. Think I will empty them out this week then.

I wonder if it would be possible to make it so that you could combine your trophy with a geerlok to count as some evolving XP. Maybe have 2 geerloks be equivalent to one successful combine or similar.
