Just curious, why did you make so many holepunchers?

had enough for 6 parts and salvage aa's helped out with them the failures i had. Mostly made enough for me and a friend to have our own and then one for the guild to have. That part is the sticking part for many makeing the aug and some shaddy people lend the use of them for excessive amounts of pp

            I'm 4 for 4 on them.

            One as a gift,
            One for my wife,
            One for me,
            and one for 150kpp.

I will admit, I am very pleased with the success rate of these and the AAAAs. I do however curse the failure rate of the burins and a couple of the other combines that are very trivial.

There is a very limited market for these since they are not consumed like the AAAA, which makes me sad in an odd sort of way.

If you have someone in your guild that you can trust, your guild only needs 1

I can understand making a bunch to sell them, but each guild is only going to need just 1. I would recommend putting the darkhollow burin bundles to something more useful such as the AAAA combine. I think I sold 3 of these so far, plus made one for my guild. With the economy on Drinal, I got like 250k for the first 2 I made, and 150k for the last one I sold. Granted I was lucky as hell to get 24 Darkhollow Burin Bundles in the bazaar for a total of 150k, but they are wasted in the Holepoker.

I work with a guildmate of mine to make the AAAA boxes, for which again due to out server's economy, we only get 200k for them, but we also offer full kits with you pick the foci effect for 250k.

I've made it up to 289 tinkering now, using a path I'd rather not speak about at this time, let's just say my competition would kill for the skill up path I'm using atm, cause there is no logjam for parts that I use, and can farm the bazaar regularly and cheaply to do this.

Again, my recommendation is to NOT waste the Burin Bundles on the Holepoker

On the other hand, the 5 Clockwork Gnome Bolts and the 280+ subcombines have become bigger blocks to me turning out more AAAAs than the Burin Bundles, so I just made a couple of extra Holepokers. Yes, it uses 2 Burin Bundles, but it doesn't use any other rare parts and requires very few subcombines. There probably isn't a big market for them and I wouldn't want to make several of them, but even at 150k a Holepoker would be a better return on my time and supplies than an AAAA at 200k.

Btw, my gnome just hit 300 tinkering a few hours ago, so I really don't care what you are skilling up on and I have no problem with you not sharing. Though I generally prefer to share information, I have delayed mentioning a discovery for a short period of time on one or two occasions where I thought others knowing about a recipe or a hunting ground would limit how many supplies I could get. However, repeatedly mentioning what a good skill-up path you have found while stating that you won't share is quite tacky, imho.

I'll agree, shadowmane pelts have been much easier/cheaper for me to come by than the 5 clockwork bolts needed per aaaa.
