    Patch 12/07/05

    - Jar of Clockwork Grease is now made with a Small Grease Jar in a toolbox. A Small Grease Jar is made the same way a clay jar is, except that you use a Small Grease Jar Sketch.

I'm going to have to look into this, if it means we don't have to rely on PoI foraging for some 280ish tinkering this would be great!

    Small Grease Jar
    # quality firing sheet
    # unfired small container ?
    * To make unfired small container (Pottery: Yield 1, trivial ?), Combine the following in a pottery wheel, or tanaan pottery wheel
o water flask (subcombines not shown)
o block of clay (subcombines not shown)
    o Small Grease Jar Sketch

And to think I just got to 215 last night <3

I'm guessing they mean that instead of using pottery to make a small jar (a container) and combining 2 of the foraged grease, you'll make that jar using tinkering. I doubt they'll let you get away from foraging the grease needed to make the clockwork grease. Would be nice if you only have to put the components for the jar and the foraged grease in the container and do it all in one step though.

They did basically the reverse on the advanced vials used by poison makers. Way back when this was a gnome only combine using peridots. Now it can be made with pottery in a similar fashion as the other vials are made. Both recipes are still in the game by the way.

Honestly, they must love us.. but who really cares about the grease jars when they made this change?

I only wish they had made this change earlier.. it will make getting steel casings so much easier.

Um, you are still gonna need grease, there's no way that pottery can create teh grease out of a pattern and some clay

Yeah this is true, but you still ned 2 PoI drops per combine, making this a slowish route on top of being 150p/combine or so.

It means that we don't have to have a main inventory slot open to put those pesky 2 slot containers that disappear when we've combined the grease!

Ngreth mentioned in this thread that he would do this - sure eases the number of clicks, and takes care of that pesky no interface space guzzling container part.

                      This change has made me

                      /manhug

Last night I made 106 jars of grease in a fairly short amount of time. I don't know what the best thing was prior to sliced bread, but this one is the best thing after it.
