    also, there has been cry for better Trophies/Geerlok/Skill items... so also it may have been considered as such:

    Skill = 300
    Mod = 15%
    Trivial = 404
    Ajusted Skill = 345
    Success chance = 93.5%

    Skill = 300
    Mod = 15%
    Trivial = 404
    Mastery 3
    Ajusted Skill = 345
    Success chance = 95%

      Mastery = 0

      Yes, that is true, but my point is that this was expected to be a 63.5% success item. If gnomes were given tinkering mastery, there is a very good chance that Sony would also add a 63.5% success cap to the holepoker at the same time.
      Oh, and technically the best case now is
      Skill = 300
      Mod = 10%
      Trivial = 404
      Success chance = 78.5%

      And darnit Ngreth, now I am gonna spend the day wondering if that was a hint that there are more 15% mods in the works.

        Exactly.

        Gnomes should not be punished or treated unfairly because SoE / Verant (or whoever) put a tradeskill in the game that only 1 race could do.

          Well, we do know that they're considering some sort of new tradeskill type stuff (as seen by the "summon artisan satchel" spells on Lucy, or whatever the spell names were). We also know that new tradeskill trophies with better stats or mods have been on the top 10 list for quite a while now. And we also know that the devs tend to take our top 10 list pretty seriously -- I've lost count of how many different items on the top 10 were actually addressed, but I'm pretty sure it's more than most other top ten lists. So I'd say that yeah, there's hope. =)

            Er, looks like 15% mod would give you a marginally better chance to make the item than mastery 3 eh? Of course you can't just make a 15% tinkering mod, you'd have to do it for all the other ts's missing one for the same reason you don't want a gnome-only aa for tinkering mastery...

            Skill = 250
            Mod = 15%
            Trivial = 351
            Mastery = 0
            Success chance = 75.25%
