Getting DNC on bows made with Linen and Silk Strings. Only works with bows made from Hemp Twine.

This is true, it is hemp only. I see a note up about that on the recipe page, is it new? I remember there always being something to indicate hemp on the recipe page though.

It's been this way as long as I have played -- you have to use the hemp version.

Yes, CONFIRMED, this has never been able to be combined with anything but a hemp string bow. However, the recipe listed in the DATABASE IS CORRECT. It should 3 combines for the bow in the tinkering recipe. One of them is making the bow from scratch, the other two are taking your existing silk or linen strung bow and restringing it with the hemp twine. Simply combining a bow with hemp twine will restring the bow with the hemp twine.
Back in the days of the serverwide tinkering chat, this was the single most common question people asked. Generally, the few of us that were always in the chat, would spit out a response to the question before the question was finished being asked.
