Does anyone know? I know you have to be level 16 to get past 50 skill. I was planning on making a tinkering mule but really dont wanna bother leveling up really high if I don't have to.

Level 16. You just have to be high enough to train it. Then you can take it to 300.

If anyone cares I did actually go ahead and do this, and I can confirm you can get past 250 at low levels. Right now my gnome ench is level 26 with 255 tinkering.Comment

But yeah, spiff hit 70, and his wis is 315 - which helps a fair bit, per the calculators. Still, Zeph's at like 410.Comment
