  • Scrindite's Senescent Scribbles book text

Ambleshift does not know what he is doing. You can see from the way the device works that I am solely responsible for it's wonderousness. I should never have allowed him to name it after himself. He leaned on me the whole time, keeping me so busy that I just could not object and he had already passed the name to the approval committee and gotten it approved. The nerve!!

My amazing mechanoinstruction reader is the basis upon which the whole system depends. Without it the device would be useless, yet Ambleshift thinks that the simplicity of putting disparate parts together is the genius of it all, which is in fact the simplest part. The reader itself is a genius of engineering that he will never be capable of completing. One would think that simply using a bundle of five size AAA clockwork shafts, a bundle of five pinion gears, a bundle of burin and five individual small Epicthieck's power belts in one of Poxysmit's gearbox casing would be easy, but you have to be very precise in the placing of the belts in relation to the pinion gear shafts. The tension on the blets must be precise, yet different for each burin.

The gearbox that is integral to the device is simple, but for some reason was beyond Ambleshift's abilities. It uses a gear and spring from innovation, along with a mechanical gnome shaft, two normal gears, and two size AAA shafts, in one of Poxysmit's gearbox casings. Be sure to secure one of Poxysmit's gearbox tops with mechanical gnome bolts.

The mechanoinstruction holepoker is another important device, because without ityou could not make the instructions that are needed for the amagamator. This holepoker needs a hole punch. I found that Poxysmit was better at the specifications for the metal part, but he needed a mold made by me. Simply use two blocks of clay with some water and the last page of this book as a guide. Bake that as normal in a kiln with a high quality firing sheet.

    That's all the book says...

I want to post this so i can try to make that mold and i have a copy of what the book says if I lose the book making the mold.

Although the book is tradeable and not lore or magic or anything. It is also not tagged tradeskill usable.

It just says, The book is closed WT. 5.0 size: small

hrmm ok, well the bundle of 5 aaa shafts are 5 tiny clockwork shafts in a tinkering box, likewise for the clockwork pinon gears, but what are these burins?

Burins are a missing recipe. See the tinkering forum.

The mold is a BAD (bugged) recipe and will not be fixed until the next item patch (you can FAKE it by using the poxysmit book instead of the scrindite book... but this will be fixed to the scrindite book.)

We don't track book texts so this doesn't belong in DoDH data at any rate. Moved to tinkering where discussion can proceed.

              Book Texts

I saw a post that had 4 or 5 of the books texts all together. Anyone know where it got to? I can't find it anymore.

                This is the correct recipe.

The recipe in game is bugged Unfortunately it will not work until the patch scheduled for 10/12. Unlike the bug with the mold for the holepoker, there is no workaround for this bug so it will remain broken until the patch.

This was NOT a conspiracy to keep an amalgamator from being made until now. It was an actuall bug, and an actual mistake.

I even think I know when I introduced it. LATE in beta there were 10 parts needed, but the book only listed nine. After thinking on it I changed the recipe not the book... and when I did that I probably made the mistake that created the bug, and being late in beta, it never got re-tested.

Wow. That's an incredible level of honesty and openness. Thank you.

Keep that up and eventually people will change the way they talk about SoE.
I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.

While your at it, can you please make sure that these containers are able to be made into tokens. I haven't heard if they are or not, but from past experience *cough* Ice cream churn, they probably aren't. Some of us have no room to just add containers to our precious storage space. And thanks for getting Amalgamator fixed, i just about have everything to make one

see thats why you let the tradeskill dudes stay up on the last day of beta testing so people like me can go though and see if everything works out well and fine

Ngreth is way ahead of you. The tokens do indeed already exist. =) All I can say is, yay for former players who know our thoughts and worries!

Yeah well... Unfortunately... because of the way the system works, that would mean that those vendors would apear on live... and that is WORSE than a little error like this. Yes the system that makes it so that would happen may need to change, but it is the system we have... so the vendors had to go away

becasue the peop-le that programed the game 6 years ago were crazy!

And it is a HUGE amount of time to redo the code, less time to just remove the vendors before the zones are exported.
