      Oh

I will be checking the live book and comparing the recipe in it to the actuall recipe on monday.

if it is a match... I will be leaving it up to you guys to get the actuall book... because it sounds like people may be going off the beta book, which HAS been changed (and no I do not remeber all changes I made to the various books... too much stuff!)... and not the live book. If it is a mismatch with the live book I will post the correction I make to the book.

if you want to be absolutely precise the this text reads

"My amazing mechanoinstruction reader is the basis upon which the whole system depends. Without it the device would be useless, yet Ambleshift thinks that the simplicity of putting disparate parts together is the genius of it all, which is in fact the simplest part. The reader itself is a genius of engineering that he will never be capable of completing. One would think that simply using a bundle of five size AAA clockwork shafts, a bundle of 5 pinion gears, a bundle of burin, and five individual small Epicthieck’s power belts in one of Poxysmit’s gearbox casings was easy, but you have to be very precise in the placing of the belts in relation to the pinion gear shafts. The tension on the belts must be precise, yet different for each burin."

        mechanoinstruction reader
a bundle of five size AAA clockwork shafts(unconfirmed)
        a bundle of 5 pinion gears(confirmed)
        a bundle of burin(unconfirmed)
five individual small Epicthieck’s power belts(confirmed)
in one of Poxysmit’s gearbox casings(confirmed)

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
"a bundle of five size AAA clockwork shafts"(unconfirmed)
In my 5 years exp in eq tinkering the name had to be precise for the component listed in the books.

Also aaa size clockwork shafts are either not in game or have an unknown recipe

it is doubtful in my mind that the following are the aaa clockwork shafts

        Tiny Clockwork Shaft
        WT: 0.2 Size: TINY
        Class: ALL
        Race: ALL
        stackable
item lore: Short straight shaft made of a strong metal

someone suggested that the tiny clockwork shafts are the component needed
and five of those combined in a toolbox results in a bundle of tiny clockwork shafts but they make a bundle of tiny clockwork shafts and not bundle of aaa shafts
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------
"a bundle of 5 pinion gears"
        (confirmed)
simply combine 5 pinion gears in a toolbox and you receive a bundle of clockwork pinions
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------
        "a bundle of burin"
        (unconfirmed)

now what we know is that there are
        darkhollow burin made
        from combining:
        Shillskin bones ,Planing tool,Shadowmane Pelt
in a fletchers kit makes a bundle of darkhollow burin
Mind you this may not be the right burin but its one we know exists in DODH
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------
five individual small Epicthieck’s power belts

        Small Epicthieck's Power Belt

This item can be used in tradeskills.
        WT: 0.1 Size: SMALL
        Class: ALL
        Race: ALL
        lore:
        (confirmed)

        tailoring recipe

corathus entrails, platinum thread, skinning knife
        combines in sewing kit makes
        Epicthiek's Power Belt
        WT: 0.5 Size: SMALL
        Class: ALL
        Race: ALL

        THEN

epicthiek's power belt, platinum thread, skinning knife
        in sewing kit makes
        Epicthiek's Small Power Belt
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------
in one of Poxysmit’s gearbox casings(confirmed)

        Poxysmit's Gearbox Casing
        WT: 25.0 Size: MEDIUM
        Class: ALL
        Race: ALL
item lore: An empty box made of fine steel with no top

        made using smithing
Smithing Components: file, small high quality steel plate(4), smithy hammer
        In: forge, tanaan forge
        Yield: 1
        Also Returns: file, smithy hammer
On Failure Returns: file, smithy hammer
        Trivial at: 111
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------

will edit and update when new infor arrises

Honestly, I bet this one is most likely a typo. Regardless, Ngreth is aware of it now and the other things we all have been scratching our head about.

Considering we know that Scrindite's Instruction Holepoker Casing is a confirmed recipe with no known use (to my knowledge), wouldn't this be part of the combine?

Holepoker casing is used in the Holepoker not the Reader.

Well, AAA batteries are the smallest "normal" batteries we have IRL... so AAA = tiny seems fairly reasonable to me. *shrug*

If anyone else cares to add what I missed feel free.

By the looks of it things have been made but not submitted to EQtraders as of yet.

Grats to the first person that made Ambleshift's Amazing Automated Amalgamator

Question that I would love to ask is.. Is the book wrong or are we misunderstanding them regarding the last combine to make the Ambleshift's Amazing Automated Amalgamator?

What I want to know is what the heck all this stuff is actually for. Is it used for quests? Is it used for other tradeskill combines? Is it useful for something? Or is it all just a bunch of glowing dials, blinking lights, spinning belts and such?

I guess what we are all aiming for is items like this Last Blood of the Champion (keep in mind this is highest level augment made -stats wise)

The augments at this point in time are slot 12 (DoN Cultural) unless Sony decides to add that slot to other items in the future.

                          Ambleshift's Automated Amalgamator

                          would make sense really
