When I get a chance to get on a friends character that has been doing the combines I will post the recipe.
I did one a couple of days ago.
Hopefully just 1 combine away from the last one needed.

So what's the use of all these gearboxes and holepokers and other stuff? And I don't mean gossip, is there anything you can do with these currently? Or is there some more quests?
The Shadowmane in the NW area of Stoneroot drop pelts ocationaly. I got a dozen or so in a few hrs soloing.
I hunted in this same spot. I got 1 in maybe 30 kills. Too bad I still need a second =\.
Also, anyone tried:
Clockwork Pinion Gear Bundle
Darkhollow Burin Bundle
Tiny Clockwork Shaft Bundle
Epicthiek's Small Power Belt
Epicthiek's Small Power Belt
Epicthiek's Small Power Belt
Epicthiek's Small Power Belt
Epicthiek's Small Power Belt
Poxysmit's gearbox casing
Small Clockwork Screws
Seems to me every item that the clockworks have dropped except for screws has been used. If I had access to a high end tinker I'd give it a go, but unfortunately Prexus has like 0 tinkers =(.

aligning two bundles of pinion gears, two bundles of size AAA shafts, two burin bundles, two clockwork shafts, and a hole punch made to moxysmit's specifications, in a caseing especially made for this device. The alignment of this is extremely difficult can you may find yourself ruining the parts untill you have had a very large amount of practice at it. the casing is simply made in a forge my using a block of high quality steel, in a hinge mold, large container base mold, and large container lid mold. be sure to add some superb leather padding to that the vibrations of the holepoker do not

misalign it and ruin the paper
Other thing the text says is "two Bundles of Pinion gears/aa shafts/burin.
So how I read it is
2 bundles of pinion gears
2 bundles of aaa shafts
2 bundles of burin
2 clockwork shafts
1 hole punch
1 casing (eg the one mentioned above)

They will eventually lead the the Amal, longer name im ot lazy to spell, which makes the DODH augs. top of the line ( aka probly drops in end game zone) aug gives 210hp augs with top foci.
So I don't know what I smoking when I posted the 5 small belts. Those are for the goo, so completely different combine. Anyway, looking at that page and what menssia01 said, I'm pretty sure it's:
You're mixing up recipes.... exact book text from live regarding the reader is :
My amazing mechanoinstruction reader is the basis upon which the whole system depends. Without it the device would be useless, yet Ambleshift thinks that the simplicity of putting disparate parts together is the genius of it all, which is in fact the simplest part. The reader itself is a genius of engineering that he will never be capable of completing. One would think that simply using a bundle of five size AAA clockwork shafts, a bundle of 5 pinion gears, a bundle of burin, and five individual small Epicthieck’s power belts in one of Poxysmit’s gearbox casings was easy, but you have to be very precise in the placing of the belts in relation to the pinion gear shafts. The tension on the belts must be precise, yet different for each burin.
Now according to the book text, recipe *should* be:
Bundle of Tiny clockwork shafts
Bundle of Clockwork Pinion Gears
Bundle of Darkhollow burin
5 Small Epicthieck's Power Belts
Poxysmit's Gearbox Casing
It was taken from the text at the begining of this thread. But it looks like the live text is different to beta.
Hence the mix up.
I guess alot of us are just trying all different combo's at this stage. And like myself there is so much text to read and work from some can be mixed up.
Can confirm also the 5 tiny clockwork shafts = a bundle (these are the AAA ones spoken about in the book)
Mensei 88 Rogue (Gnome) Sal3, GM 300 in all base tradeskills +Tinkering & Poison Making (Melee Research 296 - getting there)
Menssia 75 Cleric (High Elf) Sal3, GM 300 in all base tradeskills (except Research)

Actually, shiliskin bones + shadowmane pelt + planing tool = Darkhollow Burin Bundle. You don't need 5 of those thank Karana. And Small Epicthiek's Power Belt is a confirmed tailoring recipie.
I've tried combining 5X "Small Clockwork Shaft" in a toolbox and got a DNC, so those are definately not the AAA shafts. I currently only have 2 Clockwork Gnome Shafts on me so I can't see if those make a bundle or not, but I'll definately be trying that out when I can. I thought read a confirmed recipie where a tiny clockwork shaft was used where it said you needed a AAA shaft, but I can't seem to find it after doing some searching. I may be wrong though because I've read a lot of book texts and message board posts over the past week or so and things get confused. But I know I haven't seen any text recipie call specifically for "Tiny Clockwork Shaft Bundle", so why would the recipie exist if this isn't what we need and not used for anything else? Still have tried many items for the 10th component and no luck. My best guess now is the recipie changed when DoD went live and they forgot to change the book text. Right now I can only hope they either fix the recipie or fix the book text with the next patch, so things are a little more clear.
