UV/IV items.

I heard of UltraVision and/or InfraVision tinkered items but never found anything about it.

is it simply rumor ? or is there a recipie for it ?

The only "vision" related items:

Spyglass: unlimited "glimpse" spell, instaclick
Stalking Probe: 5 charges of Eye of Zomm
Telescopic Eyepatch: effect: telescope
Gnomish Vanishing Device: 5 charges of invisibility cloak (rechargeable)
Clockwork Watchman Helm: 10 charges of battery sight (see invis)

There's also the flameless lantern that acts like a greater lightstone which fits into the secondary slot...

There still some unsolved quests out there which hint at a UV tinkered helmet. Check out the GNOMISH CURIOS at the tinkering compendium for more info

And while it is not tinkered, shaman can make an UV potion via Alchemy.
