    SO did anyone find any? i saw a ton of stuff on the merchants in POK, but i dont knowif that was just beta.

    I wasn't able to spend much time in the beta this time. Reading the tinkering books on the temporary PoK tinkering merchants SEEMED to hint at some sort of tinkered augment crafting device... it may allow tinkers (or anyone) to craft augments, perhaps upgrade the OoW stones like rogues or shamans. But the text seems to indicate that these augmentation devices may only be used once.

    Let me make it clear that I'm only guessing from one reading of the three sets of books (three gnomes combined their efforts to make these devices -- whatever they are.). There's also another device, which seems to use punch cards, like early computers... perhaps a programable pet?

    I didn't try to make any of the numerous subcomponents to construct the devices, so I really have little idea of the true functions of these devices.

        I saw no indication that they could be player-made. But someone will have to figure out how to construct the devices described in the new books first. Hopefully they will actually be worth the effort unlike that amazingly useless Throwing Knife Stamper recipe from OoW.

          Here's hoping that the recipes don't require very high end rare drops like Icy Gelidran Hides for the Ice Cream Churn.

            Just a side note, it does look like a way of making augments is given to tinkerers. I just need to find a combine that works( ore, mold, water, seal, aug , instructions papar, instruction tablet)

            This is what i know so far ( i think)

            You do a ton of sub combines to make tha amalgamtor. Its a 10 slot bag w/ a combine button. From the sounds of it yo need lube(its a combine, has a real name i just cant think it u[p of top of head)

            so lube,instructuions( tablet i thionk, more on this later), and thats all thats said is needed( in books). There is no word in any of the books about how to combine to make an aug( infact it might not even make augs, there just on vendors in beta that also sell the tinkerign stuff). It does say that someone needs to do research on making the amal last more that one round( sould like its still a containter just no combine).

            Alas im gona go back into my hole and think about it all some more, bbl with waht i find

              I found a series of combines that work

              to make machinoinstructions( used in amal) you ned to follow a generic pattern

              combine

              Instruction parchment
              Soandso's Instructional Parchement
              Soandso's Mechanoinstruction Holepoker
              Tablet

              the tablet is diffrent for each effect u chose.

              it seems to use researching as a skill.

              All of the parts have subcombines

              will update whith more

                Well i made an Aug. heres the low down

                TO make an aug you need the following
                <Incert name here> MechanoInstructions
                Bazu / Last blood / Chrolal / Discordaint Seal
                Epicthick's Lube goo
                Bazu / Last blood / Chrolal / Discordaint Stone

                resulting aug is notrade( booo, hissss) but the one i made ( most expensive Mechno isntruction and stone adn seal) returned a 180 hp aug for slot 12

                diff instructiions do diff things ( diffrent FE on augs)

                Last Vlood so far sems to be the top of the line seal and stone ( resulting augs ahd round 210 hp!!!!!!!!

                  Well here is a list of all the Last Blood AUG Combines resulting Foci. Last blood is the best aug to use. it yields 210hp augs and the highest lvl of the foci's line

                  flucator - druzzil's range
                  accelerative - quickening of druzzil
                  coadjutor - servant of chaos
                  igneous - fire of anguish

                  exigent remediatory - blessing of teh poius
                  deleterious radiation - acariciousness of the aneuk



                  deleterious fluctuator, perpetual remediatory, mopheme,imprecise continuance were all DNCs
                  these are all made by the holepoker with a tablet with the same name( ignrous mechanoinstrucions and ignoro mechanotablet.

                  ok well thats all im doing today. really tired. really sucks to go back to the old way of combining

                    Do you know the trivial for these combines? Being able to make my own Improved Dodge *AND* Improved Parry 3 augs would just be incredible...

                      Great work, but are you saying these can only be made by tinkers for themselves? It's too bad -- there would be a nice trade in these if they could be traded.

                      Do you think they meant to make them attuneable?

                        The device to make the augs is tinkered. It is dropable and not lore. The rest of the ingredents involve a no drop base aug, a TS made seal( i dunno recipie), a lubrecator ( thinkering i think), and a Mechanoinstruction( research based combine in a tinkering made container).

                        So anyonhe can do the final combine, and i believe its nofail as after 100 combines i didnt get a failure.

                        Here is an small write up i posted on guilds site

                        First of all, anyone can do the final combine. It is a no fail non tradeskill combine ( just a container w/combine button).

                        Now the ingredients of the final combine are
                        TS related. You need a MechanoInstruction(MI) with the desired foci effect. Now the MI dont say Burning Affliction MI, they have harder to understand names ( **** gnomes). MI are made from a Research combine in a tinkering made container. The ingreadents for a MI are varous sub combines that i as of yet havent done.

                        Now the level of the foci ( like BA 3 or BA 4 or BA %) is dependent on the Base Aug. THe base aug is a no drop blank aug. Sence they were availible On merchants in Beta, their drop information is not known. The DIffrent Base augs are Last Blood(best), Bazu(2), Discordiant ( 3 ), Chronal ( worst). The top end( last blood) are 210 Hp augs when finished. the low end ( Chronal) are 55 hp augs.

                        You also need a seal that has the name of the Base ( Last Blood Seal). The combione for this seal is atm unknown ( i spent about 2 hrs tring varous combines, all DNC)

                        Now this is all combined in a 10 slot container. All 4 items ( Aug, MI, Seal, Lube). Some think maybe there is even more combines as theres still 6 spots left in the container.

                        You also need some Lube. its sounds like a brewery or tinkering combine

                        Now I know this sounds like alot of work. but with Last Blood Augs, its well worth the reward.

                        I leave you with a few screenys of varous Augs. Take note that they are alll slot 12

                        So all you need to make an Aug is teh amul(rediclously long name, some call it AAAA as its a 4 word name all starting wuth a). So combine a Mechanoinstruction, a base aug, a seal, and the lube in the Amul(aaaa) to create the new DOD augs

                          Great info!!! But, alas, people can stop drooling until they reach level 70 lol. At least I have something to look forward to with tinkering/research Ought to be interesting to see how stats/recipies/item-availability/trivs hold up on the live released version...

                            the last blood augs are all REQ lvl 70. degrade the base aug to lower req lvl.

                              Those augs alone are better than half of the armor I wear... I'm scared to think of how rare those last bloods will be as far as drops, or how high of a raiding guild you'll need for 'em. I wonder if this means there's perhaps DoDh armor with more type 12 aug slots, or if it's just for the DoN cultural.
