Haze Panther Eye's....Where are they?

Have they nerfed the drop rate on these? I was in WL for 8 or 9 hours, got 3 haze panthers to spawn and got nothing from them. I was talking to one person and they said a long time ago they were alot more common. Just the other day i paid 9k each for 2 of them. So i was wondering if they reduced the drop rate on them?

It has been a year or 2 since I hunted for Haze panthers, but if I recall correctly, I killed about 10-15 haze panthers and got 2 eyes and 4 or 5 haze panther skin. I am not sure how common they were, but I remember I sold them for about 2k pp at the time, but wished I had kept them as I hadn't gotten into tinkering then.

They are still dropping. I got 3 eyes, after 2 days of hunting panthers for tailoring supplies. Made GVDs and funded the cost of buying stacks of yew leaves to go with my panther skins. )

I've easily killed a dozen haze panthers though...probably more. So they are a rare drop from a rare spawn.

Fortunately, my alt is a ranger so it makes easier to hunt these guys.

Rare/uncommon drop from an uncommon mob (black panthers appear to be the placeholders). Haze panthers invis themselves, so one needs see-invis. Very few folks hunt in that zone, even a year ago, there might be 1-2 other people in that zone when I was harvesting pelts. I spent a lot of time doing faction, with running back and forth between kael and skyshrine (ooh, let's get amiable to tormax for a turn in, ooh, new vp quests, need ally to claws of veshan) on a non-tracker, I only aquired half a stack of haze panther pelts and no haze panther eyes.

They definately did not nerf the drop rate on the Haze panther eyes. I myself don't have a tracker, so if I farm them, I borrow my buddies 63 ranger that I have camped in WL. I've farmed them in the past, and more recently, and they have always sucked. Finding one haze panther per hour is a pretty normal spawn rate, depending on how many of the little @#$^~! panthers you can kill in an hour. The spawn rate is much better if you drop the panthers faster, but unless you have a great farming class, i.e. my 70 necro, its tough to do. One in 5 haze panthers having an eye is very lucky. Generally, its one in 5-10.

Hmm..perhaps I'm extrordinarily lucky, but I average much better than that. I can generally spawn about 5 haze an hour farming with my 63 ranger, and my eye drop rate is about 1 in 3. Twice yesterday, in a 4 hour farm session, I had a haze drop 2 eyes. Maybe you arent holding your tongue right when you kill them.....
