Cask alone and with any of those in either container is dnc.

I wouldn't be surprised if Anizok sells the cask you start with. Considering you need a boot gasket for final combine it might even be a new drop.

The tinker vendors upstairs from the main smithy in PoK. There are 5 books in there, 3 of them on a nightstand behind the male.

The leftmost book is the new one, Book V.

This is the location of all the collapsible container notebooks.

I found them with the help of some friendly folks in the channel. I used those merchants all the time but never noticed the books on the table before.

I just spent quite a while tonight trying to figure out the recipe, also using a regular cask. Then tried doing things with just the cask and adding something else to maybe "section" it... haven't seen so many DNC's in a while. /cry

I looked on the PoK smithing vendors who normally have this type of mold for any new mold that might be of use and saw none. I didn't see any new items on the PoK or Shadow Haven tinkering vendors either.

I'm sure there's plenty I didn't think of, but it's late and I'm tired.

I went to the Tinkering merchants in Ak'Anon (Bom), Katta, Shadowhaven, PoK and didn't find any "special" or "good" cask there. I did try substituting a Ceramic Lined Still for the cask, no luck.

I also tried a number of combinations, all in the Deluxe Toolbox, (10 Slot).

All of these are DNC:

From the book, it sounds like the cask is a pre-combine. (Cask, Spring Bolts) It also sounds like 2 of these pre-combines are required for the final product. (The way I read it.) Looking at Collapsible Study I-IV, the way he writes suggests that everything is a single combine. EG, if he says Folded Sheet Metal, you put that in, he doesn't tell you how to make it. So if we go by what he has written previously, it's a single combine. Assuming this, and assuming it's supposed to be as simple has he's written, I've submitted a CSR report. They told me to submit a /bug. I did. I'll try the fletching idea, but I have little hope.

I tried fletching kit combines, whittling knife/blade, the block plane thing, also smithing implements like chisel and file and hammer in the fletching kit. Even the forging hammer. Ya never know.

This is technically a woodworking combine, even though barrels typically have metal rings around them. I'm not familiar with how small casks are made made, nor how much detailed thought was put into this recipe. Overthinking these things leads to some really wild goose chases.

I checked the brewing, tinkering, and smithing verndors in Abysmal Sea, didn't see anything new there, at least not on them. I never noticed the two non-tradeskill flagged knives on the fletching vendors before however, didn't try them.

(Sorry about being rather haphazard with posting what i've tried. I've always been remiss about detailing the work done to arrive at an answer. Ask my math teachers...)

Are there any other sorts of casks or barrels out there? The gnoll brewer one crossed my mine but obviously it's a container and isn't going to go inside something else.
