I did the dark matter quest, mainly because dark matter is selling cheap and I'll need some class 5 batteries in a while. I read the description, you get better at it eventually... So far I haven't after 70+ combines, I still get 1, or 1 +1. Is this normal? How does the process work? Is the learning rate the same for all GoD combines, because if it is I'll just hand in my infused dark matter for processing rather than do it myself. Has anyone else been frustrated by this?

Yes, it gets better. If you keep refining the raw material eventually you will have it coming out your ears. There's another post on here somewhere about those quests, and I believe after something like 83 refines, you should suddenly have 2 appear on your cursor at once, stacked. After that the process starts over with 2 always apppearing and occasionaly a third but separate one added. The frequency of getting a third one should increase until you get a 3 stack, but I think from what someone posted you have to do something like 383 combines to arrive at that point. My main did all the quests she could down there, but she's not a tinker. I do have a tinker, however, and had her do the refine dark matter. That material ends up on vendors far more often than the other items, and she was the first to reach the 2 stack. (I was thrilled!

Thanks for the info and the link. Good discussion, I was just begining to despair of breaking even. You're right dark matter is an easy one to do though, I find components in the bazaar quite cheaply all the time.Jinjianmu
