Beastlord Tinkering?

Don't know if it's a bug or something, but Elder Animist Sahdi in Shar Val teaches tinkering, or at least he does for my Vah Shir Beastlord.

It's not just the Shar Vahl trainer, my kitty BL was able to train tinkering from the guildmaster in FV. But yeah, undoubtedly a bug..

I also found this bug on a froglok wizard. I had a very heated argument with a former guildie of mine on whether or not froglok wizards could tinker. As a gnome, you can guess which side I took. <smiles>

I made one, out of frustration, to see if it was true. The Guildmaster my friend was talking about was the gnomish one in the Plane of Knowledge. I checked the froglok Guildmaster in Gukta: no tinkering. I proceded to hit the Guildmaster and he sent me on a nice little trip to the Swamp.

When I got to the PoK, low and behold...there was the bloody tinkering, trainable at level 16.

I can only think that this is either a bug, or some kind of other issue. Because gnomes can't skill up in tinkering untill 16, maybe they simply allowed other classes to learn the basics, in attemp to allow them to do tinkering combines with a little bit more chance of sucess on those lovely fishing poles.

That's my best guess.

Could you do me a favor and list the names of any trainer that you see teaching tinkering that shouldn't?

Also, /bug these when you can, but list them here and I'll get them to our testing dept.

Elder Animist Sahdi or whatever his name is in Shar Val. I haven't been on recently to /bug it though. I figure it will be fixed in today's patch anyways.

I was also able to train Tinkering on my Barbarian Beastlord yesterday with Field Priest Keven.

I logged in my lvl 28 kitty Beastlord and she was able to train in Tinkering in Shar Vahl also. However it seems to be tripple bugged.

#1) the obvious: kitties can't normally learn tinkering.
#2) You can spend extra points in it, and your points will be deducted, but you can't actually get higher than 20 skill in Tinkering.
#3) The skill "Tinkering" does not show up on your skill list from the Inventory skills menu. Tailoring and Throwing yes, Tinkering no.

I havent tried combining anything in a toolbox yet. i dont know if this gave me the ability to use one, or just spent some of my skill points on a bogus skill. It was TOO FUNNY though, I had to see for myself!

*EDIT* okay I got one of the Deluxe Toolboxes from POK and bought a cork and a spriket to make an animated bait, and they can NOT be combined. The Combine button on the toolbox just acts like it is broken. So while you can spend all your training points in tinkering (I only spent 3 LOL) you can't make it work. So that's my one-person exploration of this bug report. and results thereof.

I was interested that you could not make the bait, my Froglok can make fireworks, though not very successfully! Not attempted with any other chars and not trained tinkering on the froglok.

My lvl 16 high elf paladin got 15 in tinkering from the GM in Felwithe. It said that I had learned the basics. So my question is...if this is a bug, will those of us that spent practice points on it get reimbursed, or are they gone for good? Or will we get to keep the tinkering skill? Anyone know?
