  • Starting tinkering

I speak for a gnome of level 36 who has not tinkered. She is casting her eyes across the land to the zone of Abysmal, where she hears that beginnig trades are fostered. Her birthright is a skill of 50 in tinkering. She hears that the maximum sponsorship is level 50. So, her little head ponders, would the zone of Abysmal be of help to a beginning tinkerer?

Actually, the quests take you to 54

The main reason for doing the tinkering quests, I think, would be for those wanting to do GoD tinkering recepies.... so if you are just starting (and not level 50+) ignore them!

It's worth a trip to the boat to discover what the merchants have in stock. For example, all the components needed to make a Rebreather are available from the Tinkering merchants, except for the Fresh Fish which can be purchased from a Baking supplies merchant not too far away.

The bankers are right next door to the Tinkering merchants. This is handy when you need more cash because you fail the combine on the way-trivial Aqualung. Like I did.
